I’m not denying it doesn’t happen, but to assume all people who wear mascot costumes, or are furries, smoke crack and fuck all day in costume is a massive fallacy.

All I see is a bunch of kids who are depressed not growing up in Cuba so they buy Che t shirt.

They dont wear Che shirts in Cuba

But they do wear them somewhere else where there's a decent WiFi they can get on and comment on Reddit

There should be an ex-novo island in the middle of the ocean where all people who had the thought : well, communism could work if only my pals and I could have a crack.

The only catch is that they cannot ever leave.

So many white people in there who were tourists but claim Cuba is true socialist paradise yet the country is recognizing private property and they have to pay for the internet tomorrow. Que pena

CIA were some badass motherfuckers, playing chess with PoC across the globe.

Castro would've called him bourgeoisie trash.

God reading that thread made me angry. They talk about the tiny fraction of things that are "better" than the U.S. and when anyone criticizes them, they revert to "but it's better than other Latin American / Caribbean countries!"

Like, bitch, if the bar is saying it's better than the U.S. and then you have to back pedal and say it's better than some Caribbean shithole that mother nature tries to wipe off the planet every 10 years, you don't have a fuckin' argument.

Fucking hate commie mayos.

Muh literacy and muh healthcare, every time, without fail. They always neglect to mention the gay persecution and kidnapping/execution of dissidents.

muh healthcare

The healthcare is pretty asinine from my experience tbh

I hear a lot about the huge number of doctors Cuba produces. How's the quality?

The quality is a mixed bag, our doctors are overworked and underpaid to the point where there was an entire documentary about in Cuba its better to work in the black markets and cab industry because it pays more than getting an education and being an engineer or doctor.

A lot of Cubans who choose to be doctors only do it because they can take their skills to country who'll pay them much higher salaries to the point where they go from poverty stricken to upper middle class.

As for my personal, anecdotal experiences, its always been rather poor but serviceable. My sister got a fever from a needle that they had used multiple times and the same thing happened to my cousin except he had to have a chunk of his arm taken off due to it being heavily infected because of unsanitary conditions.

So whenever you hear a (((white))) western socialist sing praises about Cuba, this kind of shithole tier development is what they're praising.

Being Cuban myself most of these commie mayos have 0 understanding of what life is like on the island nor the rather complicated politics which they boil down to “Batista was bad dictator, Castro’s good dictators!!”

And yet Chile is the closest thing to a developed country in South America today, even with the US backing a brutal dictator in Pinochet

The exception, not the rule. Look at Guatemala

Agree, it's decidedly mixed.

Lots of inequality, though. I believe we're ranked sixth most capitalist country in the world. The Chicago Boys basically ran an experiment on right-wing economics during the dictatorship.

Yeah we gotta believe the other white middle class male that says he's bad instead

mayocide them all
