Now before I begin, I want to state that while halo 3's campaign is great, there are some issues I have with it. There are some big pacing issues in the first half and Cortana and half of the level Halo aren't very good. That being said, I have to say that the hour and a half journey of The Ark and The Covenant might be one of my favorite segments in gaming.

These two levels are so incredibly crafted and are the pinacle of the series, the genre, and the medium as a whole. Marty's music is in top form and just adds to this mythic experience of being humanity's savior.

The gameplay itself is varied, either on foot or in a vehicle. Quiet sniper sections, indoor arenas, vehicle battles, and all out war or on display in these levels. The depth of the sandbox is on full display and although I've played these levels dozens of times, every time I play it's different.

I plan on giving a thorough write up later, but just wanted to share my thoughts on these masterpieces of the medium.
