its funny because the two biggest things wrong with political discourse of my generation (I am 25) is Jon Stewart and his derivates and reddit in general, although I attribute reddit's shit political discourse mostly due to the fact that most people on reddit get/got their news/political opinions from Jon Stewart and his derivatives.
Look, I don't like to say that, but I wished Colbert and Oliver choked on their milk so I can stop having their memes shoved on my face. Annoying, musical-lover jackasses.
this, but unironically. I remember being a fairly moderate high schooler although I didn't have very strong political opinions and I still really don't, I went to probably the most liberal school in my entire state and loving the daily show during the bush years, but then I remember him being terrible during the obama years and just sucking him off every night after shitting on every minute thing that bush did, i know this sounds naive but that opened my eyes in my teens, then I discovered reddit my freshmen year of college, along with discovering how retarded other freshmen in a seminar class I had were, really turned me off to politics in general, and the fatigue of it all over 7 years plus the creeping of reddit/jon stewart style political discourse into most mediums of entertainment has been awful. It doesn't help that when stewart or oliver talk about the rare subject I actually know shit about, and they would be hilariously wrong/misrepresentative of the "wrong" side. I'm still fairly moderate though definitely right leaning, but i have an intense distaste for mainstream political discourse and the dominance of certain narrative across all mediums.

"both sides are the same" ignores the fact that both sides are completely retarded in their own unique, fun, flavorful way.

Jon Leibowitz show is probably the most responsible for why Trump got elected.
