I honestly can't imagine having an emotional connection to a breed of animal. I have had pets and enjoyed them, I have also ran over other people's pets with my car and not thought twice. It's a stupid animal, if I had to, I would cook it and eat it.
I like people though. Enough to even say that most people I have met are pleasant. I even like being around animals and see the emotional value in bonding with them. But defending all pit bulls as a species seems stupid, as well as crying when a random animal dies because of its own stupidity.
