This is undignified even by Reddit's indignation standards. Writers of tv shows/comic books have no obligation to appease fans; fastidious attention would have been paid to the trajectory of this character and his death premeditated with the repercussions influencing other characters arcs.

I sometimes think these people love vicariously through a superhero shows and implement themselves as an 'imperceptible' sidekick. Or the mundane disguise; when he's not a superhero, he's ME!
