We live in a place on the verge of being a banana republic, dominated by monopolies and resource exports, and it is only a matter of time before a fruit company executes a coup. It might not have happened here yet but it is an influence worthy of a bit more investigation I think. Too easy to just blame Murdoch when his competition have been playing similar games

I'm Aussie and despite wanting to keep up to date with aus current events in my daily reddit browsing that sub is so far left wing that no actual decent discussion goes on. It's horrible and so not indicative of the Aussie personality that its just sad/
