Avoid parenthetical insults—they just diminish your authority. Throughout the post, you're best points seem to be lost in a sea of self-aggrandizement and scattershot thinking
He has said some dumb shit, but he's actually right about commies fucking multiplying like roaches. I've learned a bunch of Marxist stuff to try and understand why someone would be so retarded and you pick up little things that people say, do, wear that outs them as commies.
I'm getting really tired of the stereotypical angry leftist completely consumed with the hatred for their enemy of the day.
I don't really want to see some retard throw their own shit at everyone else just because Dr. Kermit does some talk somewhere, or someone praises him or whatever. It's old.
When i lurked that sub a month ago it was filled with harris hate, kinda like the h3h3 sub is hating on the fat jew now cause hes allegedly pandering to the cuccright
Im sure lots of them don't like him but not enough to make the sub being half about him. Plus r/samharris is hardly sam harris fans all the power users there are chapo and latestagecapitalism people
A lot of the users there are either far left or regular liberals who who supported the channel in the early days but became increasingly pissed off at what it ended up becoming.
I've never seen so much crazy for such a bland individual with the least useful, uncontroversial, thoughts and comments. People debate whay he means more then people debate the meaning of a Kubrick film
"Fuck you, here's my 10 page essay on why you're completely wrong and he's either the resurrection of Jesus or Satan himself come to Earth to slaughter all of humanity. You'll have to read it all to find out which one I believe though..."
That's not always the case tho. Some of his lectures are really interesting. As you would expect, after all, there's a reason students pay lots of money to go to uni and I think it's pretty cool he makes those lectures available for free.
I’ve watched his interview with joe rogan which is the only experience I have with the man’s viewpoints. Perhaps a 3 hour podcast is not enough research on him to understand all his viewpoints, but he seems to be a very reasonable man with many viewpoints I agree with. That said the dinosaurs 🦖 will consume him too
He didn't come up with anything obviously new but he's one of the few people who are still brave enough to say commonsense stuff. He's not alone, however. The Munk debate is also a good watch, Stephen Fry absolutely shines, especially in his opening arguments.
These are complex issues. Otherwise he wouldn't have spent maybe ten hours with Harris discussing them from all sorts of points of view and Harris would have certainly not wasted so much time had he not felt challenged by JP's arguments. I don't agree with quite a few things he says (just as I don't agree with plenty Harris says), I don't consider myself a theist, but I think there's intellectual value in his arguments and, within his axiomatic framework he is actually surprisingly coherent.
As for atheism in general, based on my experience I avoid discussing it on reddit now because I have yet to find a redditor proclaiming his atheism who is worth debating anything with, few communities are as childish.

Go clean your room retard.
1 Dildokin 2018-09-04
I cant, there's a postmodernist tankie hiding under my bed

Sorry bucko, there’s nothing you can do now but indulge your ideological possession. Start blaming the patriarchy for your problems.
1 Dildokin 2018-09-04
Can I even claim the title of male feminist and go against the patriarchy if I have no rape under my belt?
1 Not-pizzashill 2018-09-04
Ok, you can be a probationary male feminist.
1 Dildokin 2018-09-04
I'll take it

I think he has proven himself to be somewhat effective just by the amount of internet communists consumed by him.
r/samharris is basically a bunch of communists complaining about Jordan Peterson now.

I thought the commies didn't like Sam because of his sperg out with Noam Chomsky a while back?

Most of the posters there hate Sam as well.
1 HungerArtistatlunch 2018-09-04
So the situation is commies, who hate Sam Harris, gather on r/samharris to talk about how much they hate Jordan Peterson?
1 moondoggy101 2018-09-04
Yes and also Sam Harris but a crazy amount of time spent on Peterson when it is not even a sub about him.
1 Prometherion13 2018-09-04
It is exactly as retarded as it sounds. The place is a Chapo cesspool now.
1 -Mopsus- 2018-09-04
I thought Sam Harris fans disliked Peterson because he's a Christian apologist.

They debate each other a lot and are friends/ kind of in business together when they tour.
1 -Mopsus- 2018-09-04
I accidentally left a word out there. I meant to say Sam Harris fans, not Sam Harris himself.

I just looked at /r/samharris, and the post about Steve Bannon has 89 upvotes and 431 comments.
I'm sure somebody could scoop that for some drama lol
1 moondoggy101 2018-09-04
Yeah it is basically a culture war sub now

SOME of the stuff he says is a bit batshit, though, like when talks about atheists.
1 UniverseInH 2018-09-04
You mean when talking about the fact that atheist are religious?
1 charcharmunro 2018-09-04
Or that "true" atheists would be immoral fuckheads.

Oh look, the sub that threw a gigantic temper tantrum about three Sarah Jeong posts in a week is still ranting about Jordan Peterson months later.
But there's no SRD problem here! So stop saying that!
