An old man went in to the song store.
"this national anthem is broken."
the store clerk looks at it then hands it back.
"no sir, it looks like its working."
"then why won't the football man stand up?"
Nobody outside football would know of or care about Kaepernick if his anthem kneeling act hadn't sparked a nationwide spergout. The people who hate him made him way more famous than he otherwise would have been.
Their spergout to the kneeling directly led to him becoming famous enough to get this Nike endorsement. They've managed to find a way to generate self-sustaining outrage bait.
We talkin' about the same Kaepernick who took the starting QB job halfway through his second season, looked dominant, set a record during the playoffs for the most QB rushing yards in a single game, and played well in the super bowl, getting his face on a bunch of magazine covers and being called one of the best QBs of his generation?
It wasn't until his last two seasons that he looked like trash. There's no reason to pretend that he always sucked.
The thing cops have against him is not related to the kneeling retardation, it’s because the guy says cops are pigs and at some point wore some socks that had pigs with cop hats.
Don’t get me wrong, I think the reeeeing is hilarious and signing Kaepernick was a genius move by Nike, but it’s two different issues.
Friendly reminder that the mortality rate for US police officers is 11.1 per 100,000 (about 0.01%) and that being a lumberjack is 11 times more dangerous.
But what about their SACRIFICE???? Those dumb lumberjacks don't sacrifice anything while police officers are the heroic sheepdogs who RISK THEIR LIVES every day to keep society safe for all us useless civilians. Don't forget to thank your local cop for his service 🇺🇸
Friendly reminder that UK Lumberjacking is just as ridiculously risky, but a Bobby hasn't been stabbed to death in like five years, making US Police deaths a wildly disproportionate risk to other 1st world police forces.
Another friendly reminder that workplace stress is a contributing factor to domestic violence.
Another friendly reminder that police officers are 2-4 times more likely to engage in domestic violence as well.
I don't mean to be classist, but I'm going to be incredibly classist: I wonder what we'd see if we controlled for level of education beyond high school.
Since 2016, 381 cops have been killed in the line of duty.
and how many unarmed or otherwise non-dangerous people have cops killed since 2016
also how many fisherman have been killed since 2016 on boats. you know those crab guys. how many people in dangerous jobs have been killed since 2016? lots, probably. you don't see any other job complaining like this, because they know what they signed up for and aren't whiny pussies about it. they sack up and do their fucking job.

Who would believe Nike of all people would have the meme of 2018?

I remember when cap was a disappointing start, turned out to be at best a middling quarterback nobody cared about and was sure to be cut.
Things sure change.
Not things but the way people see them.

Yeah I shouldn't have said rookie. I was definitely thinking of the "year after superbowl" year as his starting year.
Probably all the TBIs.

He had the Nike endorsement long before he ever knelt. They're just now using the pserging to make some money.

Most construction trades have a more dangerous job statistically. Hell most year most cop deaths are the result of auto accidents.
I'm not even anti cop but they way some parts (boomers, and cops themselves) try to act like they're some sort of heroes is just stupid

Nobody needs a self-righteous "I'm such a hero, suck my dick" attitude less than the guy writing me a ticket for ten over.

"FOP RESPONDS TO NIKE'S NEW AD CAMPAGAIN"
If you can't spell, the only job you can get is shooting minorities, tbh.

Didn't we learn that Russia seeks to divide Americans using stupid shit like this?
Sorry, not "like," we already did this exact same shit, and no, we never learn.
