There's a couple one-off cartoons that are decent enough but generally anything a weeb is gonna recommend you to check out is going to be absolute dogshit.

I think it's more entertaining than liveaction tv, but I also think that's pretty boring. I do like liveaction movies though, well not the capeshit obviously. You have to search for good shows, masterpieces like Eromanga Sensei or Yosuga no Sora are rare but they do exist.

Also I think the cute girls in anime are hotter than the people in liveaction tv.

I mean I don't even watch that much, I'm even having trouble keeping up with the seasonal shows I picked up. Anyway, anime is really awful for learning Japanese. Idk if you can actually learn a language by watching a lot of shows and films, I think it helped with English but that's also much more basic and I didn't learn it solely by consuming media.
