User is banned from r/Roll20 for "too similar a posting style" to another banned user, "erring on the side of caution." Roll20 (the company) upholds the ban because of an "influx of messages" after user emails them twice. User deletes their 5 y/o Roll20 account. Other users say they will too.

For anyone reading this, archive.is is probably the highest trafficked archiving site on reddit, and only receives few donations per week (and definitely not enough to run on donations alone). If you can, you can support the creator on Liberapay in order to make sure we have this service for the future.

This is a huge deal in the tabletop RPG community. Roll20 presently runs the leading platform for online play and the co-founder went ahead and banned a user for criticizing some aspects of the platform.

Said co-founder then posted a statement that largely blamed the original user for everything.

Subreddit mods have since tried deleting a bunch of posts that came in the wake of the statement that criticize the company's response.

Basically, this is a PR nightmare for the largest company in a very niche business.

For every person that says they will cancel their account, I will encourage another of my groups to adapt Roll20.

Something worth this much effort over a digital table top must be worth it. Thank you fellow spergs.

Are you surprised that people who play table top are sperging out?

Not entirely, but ones you have the bees coming at you, you might as well reach in and grab some honey.

That is what me and yer Nan call anal fisting.

She does have a lot of bees in her bonet

I'm sure Roll20 will benefit from your Uncle who touches the kids to much and yer Nan who has dementia.

Man, I miss when companies just took your money and gave you a product in return. Now they're just hovering over us worse than the most overprotective baptist parents.
