(Long) Here Is The Other Side Of The Story

This post is solely to bring to attention the fact that a select couple WoW players have tried to twist an event to their favor. These people don’t have a problem talking about the issue in public. And as I believe that everyone should hear both sides of a story, here is the other side talking about the issue publicly.
These are the facts about what happened. I make no attempt to make anything better or worse, I simple state things as they happen. As you will see, not everything that is being said is the truth.
On Sep. 27th a raid group was formed to complete the Uldir raid on Heroic difficulty. The group was being summoned to the first boss, Taloc, to await the beginning of the raid. As soon as a player named Jupiter was summoned she used an item (Drums) as a joke. It has become a recurring joke in this group, that Jupiter creates and use these items at unnecessary times. To date it had no impact on our group.
This was done 13 minutes before the first attempt at Taloc was started.
A few minutes later two players, Jupiter and Onus, travelled back to a city called Boralus to change their appearance and read their mail. This appeared to upset the leader, 8grit, as he made visible facial expression and verbal remarks. Because of this anger 8grit threatened to mute people. This is how the interaction went:
8grit: Oh my god I can’t wait. I’m going to throw out so many server mutes. I can’t fucking wait.
Jupiter: Why are you gonna threaten me with a good time?
8grit: I’m threatening every single one of you with a horrible time.
Jupiter: Ah sounds like a good time to me.
8grit: First place goes to…
At this point 8grit, without warning Jupiter or telling anyone, places a mute on Jupiter. At no time before this point did 8grit mention that we weren’t allowed to make jokes. 8grit was in a “no-nonsense mood” and decided to act without talking to the group he was leading. This was done 10 minutes before the first pull on Taloc. It appeared to come as a surprise or annoyance to 8grit that Jupiter left voice chat after this happened.
As we tried to defeated the second boss, Mother, we encountered issues. Time after time our entire group was being killed which shouldn’t happen. After several wipes a player named Chaos left the group due to personal reasons, 8grit yelling in our ears for no reason multiple times, and he wasn’t performing well. He admitted that he wasn’t in the right mindset to play and left to not burden the group. Shortly after, Jupiter also left the group.
A couple hours later 8grit made comments to the group saying things such as “We could have a 364 hunter [Jupiter] in here if they weren’t playing their alt.” He also messaged Jupiter directly and said, “you’re welcome back to the raid and ill unmute, but I’m trying to have a serious raid tonight and I need you to respect that.” From here things only continued to get worse.
After the group disbanded and stream ended, a few of us were left chatting to each other. 8grit made false comments such as blaming Jupiter for accidentally pulling a boss. This is not true because not only was Jupiter gone from the group, Onus did this on accident. 8grit was also angry because Jupiter used her Drums while we waited for the group to form up. This had zero impact on our night which made it confusing why this would cause someone to be angry.
Also during that night, 8grit and another player called Rincloud made statements about how Jupiter was being selfish. Because Jupiter wouldn’t use a certain companion while fighting, 8grit said that she was being selfish. At no point during our raid nights was there a time when Jupiter not having this pet was a detriment to us. Some would have the opinion that if she switched her companion to what 8grit wanted, she wouldn’t be as useful to the group.
The next time our group came together, Sep. 30th, 8grit and a player named Zusic had some choice words to say about the incident on the 27th. Zusic started to complain to everyone that “people are being childish, and they need to grow a back bone.” They stated that they would not invite Chaos and Jupiter, and would only let them come if they asked. At that point Zusic made the comment “I hope they come to the raid so I can fucking flame them.”
At this point I decided to leave the group and not play with them because I didn’t want to be a part of the fuel to the fire. I was hoping that it would be settled between the parties that were involved, and we could move on past the incident. Because of the negative and false comments by Zusic and 8grit four people left the guild.
The next day, Oct. 1st, during 8grit’s stream he typed a direct message to a player named Mourganna. It said, “yahyah, half the guild left because they white knighted.” Before sending the message he deleted the end of it and instead it read, “yahyah, half the guild left because tryharding is exclusive and such.” This is an interesting comment since none of us were asked why we left.
On Oct. 4th the public comments continued 8grit’s stream. A viewer named Dalhoosie came into chat and 8grit started, without being prompted, talking to Dalhoosie about the recent events. 8grit claimed that “the people I was talking about, the night of, all left the guild. One of them was an officer, and tried to make one of the other people that were shitty and officer. And I demoted him and they all left.“
The four people that left the guild left because of the attitudes of the leaders 8grit and Zusic. Because of how the tension in the guild was going to be handled we did not want any part of it. At no point did either of them ask us why we left. At no point was there an attempt to fix what went wrong. At no point was anything said other than negative comments.
These are the facts about what happened.

I'm the 'Dalhoosie' guy who has 0 to do with any of this but is mentioned by name. Also, it feels weird being called a 'viewer' by a viewer when I'm his friend.
Correct me if I'm wrong here but jokes are meant to be funny. You don't agree that using drums constantly before bosses and wasting time on a unfunny joke has no impact? Not sure if being a 12 is required to find this funny but to grown adults who want to get shit done, its not.
Either way, creating a 'drama' thread when it really mattered to nobody in the guild (that I'm not even in), well its clear it bothers you and not the others involved.
I'd have this opinion regardless if I was 8grit's friend or not; no one likes stupid shit wasting everyone's time, its universal, not exclusive to wow and not an opinionated take. There's a rule I live by in life; Don't be a shit head. 'Jupiter' should take up a similar mantra if she wants to make friends.

I attend every single raid with the guild since it launched and in the 1-2 weeks that Jupiter was with she only did it a couple of times. Of those times I don't recall a single moment when we were delayed because of it's effect. I could be wrong, I would be glad to be shown a clip or video displaying this.
If the joke was unfunny, as it apparently was to 8grit, why did he not say anything? He never mentioned once to Jupiter or the group to not do that. Jokes are subject to the viewer I agree with that, but if you don't find it funny why would you not say something?
If we want to get into specifics she was using a tenacity beast when 8grit wanted a ferocity beast. His sole reason behind this was so that the group could have access to Hero. This wasn't necessary because every single raid we made we had someone that could Hero and never had to rely on Jupiter. The downside to this is if Jupiter used ferocity then healing and damage would be lost which would make her perform worse.
It's a very good opinion to have and I agree that everyone should have it; although, facts don't change because of an opinion. There was zero time wasted due to Jupiter. I was there every day and I can't think of a single time where this happened.

As I am mentioned in this post, I feel it necessary to explain without aggression or complacency my own acts.
To paint a brief picture, the Guild mentioned is primarily compromised of a Community created by a streamer that has brought us all together. The Guild added two non-Community members, mentioned above Jupiter and Onus, to the Guild and were brought into becoming a part of the Community. Our Guild and Community is growing; these two members said they were a part of guild but NEVER raided with their guild. A theoretical win-win.
My mention above is related to my referring to Jupiter as being selfish. In my interactions with Jupiter (>3 / 10<) in game, I noted a number of instances of selfishness: unwilling to travel to instances requiring/insisting on summons as she would not travel there herself; as a profession with the capacity to create Drums, she did not have/create/use said Drums until asked, repeatedly, by Grit; having enough gold to support Guild with feasts/buffs and willing to give gold to me to purchase them at the Auction House yet unwilling to travel to do this pre-Raid herself; being late to Raid nights. Although being late is not a huge infraction, repeatedly doing this is disrespectful of other people's time. In my view, I see these infractions as translatable to human characteristics: lazy, selfish and disrespectful. I did not care for how she reacted to other officers of the Guild, usually with hostility or defiance. Therefore, I avoided partying with her and kept my interactions with Jupiter courteous albeit curt, but never demeaning nor misogynistic nor hateful nor spiteful.
I do take umbrage to this post. I feel like this is an unwarranted airing of laundry. This issue was between two people; it has snowballed into churlishness. Many people feel it necessary to defend or support one party or the other as is human nature; however, there was no communication by Jupiter to Grit. This could have all been handled if communication was employed rather than what we and this issue have devolved into: nonsense. I am only sorry that one person left Guild and I hope this does not bleed into said person leaving the Community as both he and I although present for these events were not involved.

This happened several times with other people who were busy doing something else and requested a summon, but they received no backlash including myself. We always had a warlock available for summon so how is this an issue?
Another interesting tidbit here, I had the exact same profession but I was never asked once to create them. Another non-issue because we never had to use said Drums and therefore had no need for them.
Is this because you were already at the Auction House purchasing other items for the group so it was faster for you to do it? Or was this because she was busy trying to get a ferocity pet like 8grit asked so she didn't have time to do it? Or was this because she just got off work before raid and didn't have time to go herself to go get them?
Another issue that happened with nearly half the group, but they hardly received a slap on the wrist.
If you consider self-defense hostility and defiance. Two officers had no issues with her probably because we weren't being combative in the first place. You can't expect everyone who you are inconsiderate to just lie down and accept it.
Interesting thought considering this is the first time that the people who have left the guild have said anything in public. But if you look at 8grit's stream he talks about it multiple times without being prompted. It appears that 8grit has no issue talking about it publicly, and he had no intention of contacting anyone who left.
I agree that it should have stayed between these two people.

During the raid night in question i had received a call from my Ex whome i have a child with yealling and screaming at me during the raid i had made a mistake during the raid and being in a fluster i left and did not explain why i had left. After the call i had decied to play an alt as i was just not in the mind set too raid that night anymore. when the next raid night came i was told id have to ask for an invite to the raid as i was being a child and taken my DPS too seriously not once was i asked why i had left after the fact yes i should have spoken to grit about it but honestly after hearing that i was being a child i had no intention of ever comen back to raid after that i wish his guild success but the whole situiation spirled out of control i do no think this was handled well on anyones part but as a leader and a leader of his stream commiunty i dont see the effort that was put in on his side during any of this i wastched streams after the fact and it was just continued to be made out too be a joke "CAUSE WE'ER THE ASS HOLES RIGHT?" not once did i think that however it was assumed so enjoy your streams enjoy your guild i am thankful for the time i had in it but its not where i want to be anymore.

Seems like the only people salty here are the people making it a big deal on Reddit and before you say he was talking about it on his stream he was talking to people in the guild and to viewers who were there during the interaction he also did not delete the clip so he has nothing to hide

3-4 hours is one Raid, if you can read you'd note it was over a two week span. This means multiple raids, instance runs, days spent online, etc. I was mentioned and was quoted as stating she was selfish. I stand by my assertion that she is selfish. I was also a part of the raid where these events transpired as well as the following Sunday that was not streamed. Therefore stating it was one side through (not threw homie) a phone screen is inaccurate, incorrect and imprecise.
I noted the "the facts" as I saw them. If you think I was being aggressive, you are sadly mistaken. I was there when Jupiter was muted, I was there when BlckAssn left group/guild the following Sunday. I communicated with Assn regarding this situation as well. So I am perplexed as to your overall point. The entire base of your argument is invalid.
The original post was made to explain "the other side." I was mentioned so I noted my own interactions as I saw them. Please make a cohesive argument or statement as what you have posted makes little sense due to grammatical errors, syntax issues and outright incorrect understanding of the situation. I love debate so I cannot wait to unpackage and parse through your reply.

I admit I had my doubts about this post at first, but:

Jupiter here, since everyone wants to talk about me, why not chime in myself..
As far as jokingly using drums, I would often randomly comment "Drums now?" in the middle of trash, doing nothing, etc.. Everyone laughed, and no one ever said "stop saying that" or anything of the sort. Only maybe 2-3 times did I actually use drums randomly.. twice during trash, and once upon arriving at the raid while we were still filling the group. Not once did this affect anything we were doing during the raid.
The first night being a part of and raiding with the guild, I was getting off of work at exactly the time the raid started. I informed 8grit as well as everyone in discord that I was going to be late that night. No one said anything about it. When I got on, I was invited to the group, we filled a couple more spots, and we started shortly after.
The next raid night, the same thing was going to happen, I was getting off work at exactly raid time and again I informed them I would be late.. When I got on that night, I was told raid time was officially pushed back half an hour since everyone is always late and it would be easier this way. After those 2 nights, I was never late again.
I use a spirit beast, because when I read about pets for my class, the guide said a spirit beast is the best pet to have. I don't generally read a ton into guides, strats, etc.. because I don't normally have the time to take things so seriously as well as a lot of them don't make sense to me anyways. 8grit mentioned once that I should go tame Fenryr in the raid from legion to have a ferocity pet, he told me a little bit about it and that was that. The night of one of our raids, myself and another guild member went to this raid to tame Fenryr, what we didn't know is that it had to be done solo, so I was unable to tame Fenryr until reset of that right on Tuesday.. I never once said I was using the wrong pet on purpose, I thought my current pet was best for my spec since that's what i had read in a guide.. My spirit beast helps me with sustain and puts ease on healers throughout the raid.. My pet has a heal i can use on myself or others, a damage reduction for myself, as well as an ability to remove enrage which is useful during uldir trash. I thought my pet was useful to myself as well as the raid, and was never told that my performance was being weakened because of it by anyone nor was i using it to purposely lower my dps.
The summons issue The couple nights I raided I was running late so I requested summons to speed up the process, never did I demand them and never did anyone say no run here. Had they said run, I would have. Many other members/pugs from the raids always asked for summons, and I was never told it was a problem to request them. Seems a bit silly since there's a summoning stone and we actually had a lock there majority of the time. Not once did someone tell me to not request summons. The only time I can honestly say I required a summon was for a mythic at tol dagor (correct instance?) because I did not have the flight path and did not know how to reach the island.
The gold issue Not once did I ever refuse to buy items for raid, the guild, or anyone, etc.. I actually provided a couple of people with pots/flasks every raid night, as well as bringing feasts and food of my own. Rincloud mentioned one day in guild chat that he had bought materials for feasts and was out of gold.. I asked him if he needed some gold? he told me no thank you and i said no problem I just like to help out. I never once asked him or anyone to buy me anything at the auction house, to buy materials for anything, etc.. I actually recall being at the auction house before raid started one night and asking if anyone needed anything from there. Im not sure where the accusation of "being unwilling to travel/provide" comes from but there are 0 facts to back it up.
The personality issue I have a very sarcastic, troll like personality. This showed the first night I raided with this guild, yet they still asked me to join them. I responded with let me think about it.. and then proceeded to raid with them the next time. Again, I was very sarcastic, trollish, and everyone was laughing having a good time. I was never told I was out of line, and I was asked to join the guild once again to which point I accepted.. My personality NEVER changed throughout my time in this guild. I was told by one officer "Jupiter you're a character and I mean that in the best way possible" during raid. 8grit called me a troll numerous times and always laughed about it. Never once was I told I was being bitchy, out of line, rude, or anything of the sort. Every time I was in discord everyone was laughing having a good time. To say I was hostile and defiant? Maybe you should have brought it to me privately if you felt I was being that way towards you or anyone, but nothing was ever said or even hinted at.
Overall, this entire thing is ridiculous. This will be the only post from me on the matter, as I don't care to fuel petty bullshit. This is to clear my name and show what actually happened since everyone seems to have their own opinion on things when they weren't even there for majority of it.
