Came here to post about this. As a young girl she came to my school and read us a book, and I remember asking my parents about her. They told me she was our senator, and that her job was to vote on issues within the federal government that affected everyone, and that as OUR senator she was supposed to vote the way the majority of the people of Maine would vote. I remember feeling awe that she had that much power, and I knew that she was a person to be respected.
Today, as an adult, and a young woman from this beautiful state of Maine, Susan Collins has lost any shred of the respect that may have remained.
Edit: first reddit gold! Thank you kind stranger, I don’t know what it does but I appreciate it a lot!
And in both cases, there were multiple corroborating documents, witnesses, and demonstrable instances of lying and, in Kavanaugh's case, outright perjury during a Senate hearing.
Imagine being u-ConceptualTrap and being deranged enough to believe this shit
Was there actual perjury from the man or are people just repeating it like the rapist accusation? I stopped following the hearings after the first miserable day when he was sweating it all the alcohol from the night before on TV
I just assumed she was a Democrat but she's actually a Republican. Why are they acting so betrayed that their Republican Senator is voting with her party?
why are they saying this is about women's rights and calling her a "pussy ass bitch". toxic much? literally made me a little queasy and might sign off early today
Because Collins voted with the Dems to keep the ACA so some Democrats deluded themselves into thinking she's a closet Dem who will help them win close votes. Also, sexism because they are acting like her vote somehow betrayed women everywhere.

Someone really should've given him whatever drug they give Daddy when he has to make an important speech calmly

What a fucking mess. Imagine wasting your time trying to astroturf subreddits of states you don’t even live in to try and shift the politics.

DDF has been doing it for a while on big city subs like NYC, Chicago, and NYC.

This is the largest salt harvest since the election and we aren't allowed to farm it via pings.

Oh yes, it's quite normal for a state smaller than my own to have 10000 upvotes for a single thread

This is natural and not a result of bots or anything like that.

Some of the political subs can legit pull off large brigades like that without bots. They can wrangle their autists pretty well.

Thread's got more votes than people who live in Maine.
