Luckily there isn't some big middle of a presidential term vote coming up in which the democrats could have used the money and effort. A middle of a presidential term event that can be affected by a divisive topic solely based on opinion.
It used to be vital for Democrats to do well in the midterm elections, since getting a majority was the only way to stifle Trump. Now, though, it's clear that Democrats don't actually want or need a majority, since 30-year-old sexual misconduct allegations are the correct instrument of power in a democratic republic.
I'm in tears right now. Never in my life have I felt so threatened and betrayed by my own country. I am very sad for my kids today, but especially my daughter.
Edit: -10 already. Go fuck yourselves, we'll see you in November. Me and millions of other women. We won't forget how this was handled.
Edit 2: Thanks for the moral support from those offering it. Mass hugs to you. <3 Fuck the trolls.
i definitely don't, im actually appalled at how you can just blindly want someones job opportunity taken away if someone says they raped them 35 years ago. even the investigation supported his innocence. being irrational and thinking with that logic is caveman shit. accusations should hold ground with evidence, not without. and it is entirely too common where false accusations of rape are made, which has led to many men not only losing their jobs, but going to prison for years only to have been found innocent. so yeah, in all legal and moral sense, you should prove the crime happened before the person is presumed guilty. the issue is, i can explain it to you, and every single one of the people why exactly it's not right to assume someones a rapist over an allegation that holds no grounds. you all wanted an fbi investigation. THAT happened. You all weren't happy with the results because how dare anyone believe maybe he actually is innocent. your anger is funny to a lot of people because your biased thinking and inability to compose yourselves can only be taken seriously for so long. he deserved to be confirmed.

Luckily there's no mid-terms.

You're not alone. Most of us, men and women alike, agree with you. Every poll has said that.
We outnumber them.
Take this anger and this grief and hold onto it. Focus it. Make it your voice and scream to everyone to get out and vote.

Damn, both House Of Cards and The Handmaid's Tale became nonfiction within the span of two years.
