/r/StarCitizen users get super salty when /r/Gaming users start calling their game dev Jesus a crook and the game a scam. Reading some of their rationalizations is like listening to an alcoholic.

Their dev Jesus just seems to love feature creep.

They probably are alcocheetoholics.

😴😴😴

It's literally vapour ware at this point.

Thats not what vapour ware is, at all.

I get shitting on the game to enrage the fangays but stick to things that are actually true.

The mmo he pitched in the original ks is most definitely vaporware.

listening to an alcoholic

It's more like listening to a cultist or a battered wife. Some of these people have shelled tens of thousands of dollars on this crap.

Its pretty much the role of any retard who falls for a mayo who promises them they are gonna fix everything and make their 3rd world hellhole great again with no concrete plan.

I think we've got that wonderful mix of a guy who's self-deluding and legit mentally ill crossed with dishonesty that's the hallmark of any good Ponzi scheme. He lies to himself that he's going to succeed and then goes out and lies to the... err... I was gonna say investors, but I guess I should say people who buy jpegs.

Deceiving Daddy Fraudsters are far too good at deceiving the mayos.

There's a package that unlocks most of the ships in the game for like $27,000 and you have to have already spent $1,000 to even be able to buy it.

But guise it will totally be worth it once the game comes out! Also it's not pay to win because just forking over tens of thousands of dollars is not going to guarantee a victory and if you slave away at your computer for a decade or so you can totally get these ships even as a subhuman peasant someone who only spend $70 on the game.

I hope I can buy some skins for it!

Not gonna lie. This mmo looks pretty baller if it were real.

Leave Peter Molyneux alone.

So the ETA is two years?

said numerous times over the last 6 years of development.

for people who enjoys this trainwreck of a game, check out

/r/starcitizen_refunds and LevelCapGaming youtube channel

it's honestly kind of hilarious continuous drama where Chris Roberts promises some completely outrageous shit, then /r/starcitizen defends it, then it's missing in the promised update, then he completely underdelivers like 1% of promised features in the next update (that's being generous) and then /r/starcitizen is cheering and saying they never lost faith, also heretics on /r/starcitizen_refunds are just losers and haters

TL;DR Star Citizen fans are basically like dotards, their dear cult leader can do no wrong

I mean, you can call dotards a lot of things, most of them true, but if there's something they do is complain to valve about everything all the time. They even spammed the hell out of Volvo's twitter and facebook accounts because they didn't get some shitty seasonal minigame once.

not those dotards, DDF /r/t_d dotards (though i don't doubt that there might be some simularity)

My god, this game looks fucking amazing!

I didn't see a game. I saw a bunch of pre-rendered cutscenes.

Why spend the money on actually making the game you promised when you can just spend it all on A-list voice actors?

It seemed to work for Wing Commander with B-list voice actors

sunk cost fallacy crossed with Stockholm Syndrome

a powerful cocktail

Don’t forget buyers remorse

I don't care how much they hype this game, I seriously doubt that it'll work on an engine that has never been tested on this scale.

They've got at least a fucking hundred million dollars, they should have just made their own engine.

At least I only spent $30 on it, the price of a cheap dinner.
