I'm losing faith in humanity and not in a fleeting joke kind of way...as a woman I feel the news is saturated with men behaving badly and woman being cast aside like worthless pieces of meat and it troubles me on a really deep fundamental level. I'm starting to look at men assuming they are all cut from the same cloth and that's not fair because I know for certain there are very good men out there. It's just there aren't enough to counter balance the overwhelming lot of really shitty ones.
I am losing hope and it's terrifying because I'm raising girls and what kind of world are we leaving them? One I'm not proud of. All I can do is teach them their worth and be the best example I can be and hope like hell it's enough. 1 in 4 woman experiance domestic violance, and even more experiance sexual assault. We make less money for the same work, and have to work harder to prove we are half as good.
