The R's take the troops for granted just as hard as the D's take black people for granted. It's only a matter of time before they climb out of the sandbox or escape the plantation and that time will be amazing for drama.
The military leans Republican but not by much. Way less than black people lean Democrat. This only feels different on reddit, where people think anyone who believes in national borders is racist fascist conservative, so of course anyone who's been in the military is basically further right than Hitler.
