I only watch enough J-dramas to strengthen my resolve that K-dramas are the superior product. It's like how sometimes you gotta watch a little bit of Triumph of the Will to understand just how much Why We Fight is better.

Forget about trying to be a mangaka, how about trying to be a good step-daughter when your crazy step-mother believes in a bunch of weird Shinto stuff? Check out 2007's Erai Tokoro ni Totsuide Shimatta! and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
