Not your usual gamer drama! [Rated E is for Effortpost]

Alright boys and girls. So for those who are unaware, Borderlands 2 is a semi-popular loot and shoot game known for its rather unique style, crude humor and explosions. I enjoy it and personally await the next game.

However, while I patiently wait, there is a community tht has to have it NOW DADDY NOW. Welcome to: /r/borderlands3, a place that reeks of desperation and, “please don’t become Half Life 3.” Now it won’t become HL3 because the owner got billed for millions and has to get money somehow, but that’s not the topic.

Introducing: Supmatto, a Youtuber whose channel appears to be 99% bullshit and gossip with just a hint of autism blended in to give it that 1% authentic feel.

So why the effort post? Well ol’ ‘matto likes to circle jerk the minions and he is stumbling from one thing to the next.

It started 32 days ago here:](https://www.reddit.com/r/borderlands3/comments/9hg81f/supmatto_borderlands_3_sources_claim_borderlands/) he promised that BL3 is coming, DLC, major announcements, etc. the quiet and desperate community began to get excited, threads spawned and the normally silent sub started to come alive. The big thing was this was all coming “soon” which spawned a lot of hope.

A couple days later this drops: and matto doubles down. Complete with one subscriber noting:

You know your Borderlands career is over if this comes out as false, right?

Which...fucking lol, Borderlands for a career?

Anyway, so the excitement builds. Then, catastrophe. Borderlands 2 in VR is announced and the fecal matter hits the spinning fan of glory. The community is pissed and unhappy. The Borderlands 2 community spins in circles shrieking while the BL3 group sharpens the knives while glaring at their pet autist. I guess his career is over.

A week later, Matto releases this gem basically saying tht yeh, the Gearbox CEO personally said it wasn’t happening, BUT HERES WHAT IT MEANS: it’s happening!!!

The community is less than stoked and one user and mod have a mild scuffle on to ban or not to ban, that is the question.

Then, yesterday, another video, claiming the trailer is done! tired users demonstrate their fatigue while the autistic prophet makes increasingly garbled claims.

Which brings us to redemption, not really, but kinda: mysterious files are found on Steam and we are all treated to more ITS HAPPENING I PROMISE! But this time, like when it all began, folks begin to get enthused. Which means when it all nothing burgers....well Matto is out of a career as a BL2 caster (seriously the fuck).

Anyway, watching this unfold has been a guilty pleasure and I thought I’d share.

That's why I quit playing after I hit level 10. What's the point In leveling up if all the enemies just absorb more damage? There's no difference between being level 1 or 100 at that point.

There's a community patch for it that should adress the issue, but I've heard that the mod support it relies on is pretty barebones and I have better autism simulators to play by now.

OT but related have you seen the circling of the wagons about blizzcon and how blizzard back pedaled hard on diablo related news?

When the statement by blizzard was released to check your diablo expectations at the door to the upcoming blizzcon the community was shall we say... upset.

More amusing to me is the primary diablo related youtuber, Rhykker finally released a video where he tried to do something similar what the boarderlands youtuber did and spin this as a positive. IE: Diablo 4 is happening it's just not happening right now for realz guys! If you watch the vid you can see the deadness in his eyes as blizzard senpai once again cucked him. It's sad but still hilarious.
