Things got shaky when the Ottoman Empire started dissolving, and the Brits landed the coup de grace by revolting the Arabs against them so they could occupy the ME (along with France). The British didn't "revolt" the Arabs against them, the region was an amorphous blob of tribal loyalties in the first place and any loyalty they had to the Ottomans was tenuous at best. The Ottomans liked to oppress and exploit Arabs just as much as anybody else.

This isn't exactly true. The Ottomans liked Arabs, as proven by the Sunni influence in the Ottoman Empire. For most of Ottoman history Arabs were favoured over any other ethnicity in the empire- including the Turks, who were generally seen as cannon fodder. This fact is often overlooked since Turkish nationalism was so prevalent during the final decades of the Ottoman Empire especially when The Young Turks came into power.
This is relevant how? ME was still manageable despite all the in-fighting. Then the Brits came and indirectly escalated the in-fighting ten fold. The fact they had their differences is irrelevant.
