Lol at the guy comparing Twitter to the New York Times. If you carry that analogy to it's logical conclusion, Twitter is accountable, as a publisher, for every libelous statement said on the platform. Jack Dorsey definitely does not want that.
It’s not that it’s just like NYT. It’s that since people are criticizing twitter banning Jones/others by saying it’s a mass media platform where people get news, it should have the same ability to restrict content as other mass media. It’s more like the comment section on news sites.
People who get news from just twitter should probably just jump off of a bridge though.
Trump isnt allowed to mute people on Twitter as it infringed free speech. Wouldn’t that make banning someone from twitter limiting 1a rights? There would need to be a trial or something lol.
