I'm not from the US btw, but my gf is American so I am familiar with American internet. She lived in NYC and even there she had only one choice of ISP. The internet market is fucked in the USA. It is expensive and there is no realistic competition.
Meanwhile in the Netherlands and most of Europe we have cheap, high speed internet, no throttling and no data caps. To top that all off I get regular free updates because we have an healthy market with a lot of choice.
Just because you have no real choice where you're from, it doesn't mean that is the only reality. These companies have you by the balls, provide shitty service and not only do you not complain about it, you actively stand up for them lmao.
