This is one of the first things one of my political science professors taught us, he said that neoliberalism is such a nebulous concept that most serious academics don't use it. It has become more of some sort of boogeyman that left wingers use to describe what they don't like about the world.
They even got one out of two papers published that were taken directly word for word out of Mein Kampf, just substituting Jews for White Males. A feminist journal published Chapter 12 of Mein Kampf replacing "my party" with "intersectional feminism". The other one got published after they were told to go further to "problematize allyship". Further than Hitler.
