If you’re older than 14 and care about these shows for any reason other than how they affect your bottom line, you need to be gassed.

Excuse me? The package for the action figure CLEARLY states it’s for Ages 12 AND UP

Remember to breathe deeply.

Why? Did someone open a can of Zyklon B?

The only way you can know for sure is if every part of the can is labelled

Its pretty degenerate to be grown up and still watch cartoons tbh

Says the guy having a japanese cartoon name -_-

What do you mean, "these shows"?

What if you're a parent?

What's more pathetic? Caring about an IP you enjoyed as a child or whining on the internet about people who care about that IP? By simple transitivity, I deduce that you definitely care. Should we gas you along with them?

I'm a bot, bleep, bloop. Someone has linked to this thread from another place on reddit:

The box for the new She-Ra toys literally says ages 14 and up. Nice coincidence.

Nerds really need to get beyond this perpetual and all-pervasive rage.

Can you take that lesson and wrap it up in a 700 page sci-fi novel?

They targeted She-Ra.

She-Ra.

Why will nobody respect the sanctity of my childhood, 20 minute, poorly made toy commercials, interspersed with high-sugar cereal commercials.

Is there no honor in the entertainment industry anymore?

I think you would very much like the most recent Doom Patrol/Milk Wars series.

So a villain named retconn changes the justice league into a bunch of everyday people in Connecticut? Superman is Milkman Man...

Oh and this is all written by the guy from my chemical romance?

What is happening to comic books?

It's ironically anti-consumer and pretty self-aware in terms of taking digs at cape shit.

Generally they fight the Dada-esque Brotherhood of Nada. My favourite is 50% Chad. The JL only serve as creepy Stepford Wife-ish villains for one issue.

Batman's a creepy priest.

Wonder Woman is Wonder Wife. A symbol of feminity, she inspires us all regulate our emotions and take better care of matters domestic.

The hero is pretty transparently Rainbow Bright and the villain(spoilers) is essentially Bow from She-Ra. He's pissed that he's been discarded as the crass cross-promotional bullshit character that he is.

Yeah the MCR guy has his own entire publishing house now, he's a rising star at DC. Comics are getting hilarious.

Hector the Boy Detector is kinda hilarious...

And the breeze is literally a Mary Sue...

Yeah, he probably realized he would have alienated half the female readers with that. The hero is herself pretty Mary Sue-ish, but she is herself a fan-fic character given real life so it's pretty tongue-in-cheek.

Retconn is an evil corporation that exists in heaven. They want to spruce things up to sell our universe to the very gay Universal Redecorator.

Really missed an opportunity to call that guy Gaylactus

I think at that point it was going to border out of parody and into real copyright infingement ;)

He does have his own also-gay Scarlet Skiier herald to make up for it though. Just in case it really was too subtle.

T r a p

They still didnt fix making her look like a trap. I'm happy, because I wasnt going to watch this shit anyway and it triggers the KIA crowd.

The art style looks like a slightly better version of tumblr art and the main character has the body of flat as a board Taylor Swift.

Wow, no references to muh CalArts style?

i'm 100% positive that r/television is basically populated by teenaged white girls with all the garbage that they like on that sub.

nah they're just progressive virtue signalers and this show is pure distilled progressive virtue signaling

It looks like anime shit.

all the women in my family are pissed. stop spinning the narrative that only men hated it. She-ra was ours before she was reduced to this insult of a design. We were the kids of the 80's and 90's and were never gonna accept this new take of this. Original She-ra is still the best one.

i think she looks cute tbh i don't get the hate it's just a cute cartoon
