Kaepernick isn't as great as some his stans think he was, but he certainly was better then almost all of the backups that have gotten contracts. It's not a big stretch to assume teams conspired with each other to keep him out.

It's not needed though. You don't need collusion to not want to sign a backup who will piss off over half your fan base and showed no signs of not saying stupid shit.
