When looking at the pubescent population, i.e. the population that’s actually receiving blockers, they overwhelmingly persisted in being trans. And it’s not like children aren’t being put through a rigorous process. Informed consent clinics are really only a thing for adults

A1 was kept in. But this was one possible means of receiving a GID diagnosis. Everything else in this criteria refers to gender roles, not being the gender itself.

I don't know what you're reading, but the majority of liberals aren't pressuring their kids to wear clothes associated with the opposite gender. However, you will of course find that liberals are quite liberal (surprisingly) and don't encourage their kids to conform to society's expectations (shockingly). When other people's kids are raised with a certain closed minded worldview that can be a problem of course. But again, kids have to be given some leeway in making some decisions. A child viewed as a boy wearing a dress to school is nothing different than a child wearing an ugly shirt that they like to school. They may get bullied for it, but it's a learning experience. You can't protect your kids from everything, and not letting them learn, stand up for themselves, or alter their behaviour as necessary does not help.

And when I raised the point with my (very liberal) parents, they supported me fully and suggested I may be "born in the wrong body". I was even more confused when they said this.

For all these years growing up I had looked at Disney movies wanting to be not the prince, but the princess and frequently dressing up as one.
