I’m always amazed how few people know about Gamergate. It’s not only the key to understanding so many violent harassment campaigns going on today, it’s lots of the same people angry about the same stuff using the same playbook.
Well, not me by myself, but a group of kids. We all teamed up to try and get this one teacher fired because she just watched videos of George Bush's dog Barney all class and yelled at anyone who would interrupt her.
She ended up quitting instead, and broke down weeping and cussing in the classroom because we were all obnoxious little shits who would purposefully disobey anything she said.
It was around then I realized that being a teacher was not a good career path. I made a vow to myself to do something quiet and boring like accounting or labwork instead.
Me too. She left the room for a minute and when she came back we all gave her the nazi salute. She started crying and someone else had to come talk to us about it. Kinda ironic because she was a massive racist. She was some hick but she went to europe once and she carried a lifelong hatred of gypsies back with her.
