Facebook has been criticised for allowing a 16-year-old child bride in South Sudan to be auctioned off to the highest bidder on its platform.
The post advertising the girl was first shared on October 25, but it took Facebook until November 9 to remove the post - six days after she was married off to the winning bidder.
George Otim, country director of Plan International South Sudan, likened the auction to slave markets and slammed Facebook for allowing it to take place on the company's platform.

Also, BTW, even in English Facebook is really lenient with regards to racism. Like "Kill Muslims" would get you banned because it had no qualifiers, but "kill Syrian migrant children" would probably slide because the ethnic group "Syrian" is limited by "migrant".
The notion that American internet companies should impose American morals on a global userbase is never going to work that well, but people won’t accept this until there’s like a major Chinese company that starts imposing restrictions on Americans.
