It is interesting that she’s just saying this about “Europe” when, not 2 years ago, she lost a US election largely over her opponent being willing to take a populist stance on immigration. Maybe she’s floating comments about “Europe” to see how her party reacts, and will make the same point about the US if they don’t respond too negatively.
The chapotards’ complete lack of understanding about electoral politics is pretty fascinating. If your opponent is beating you on an issue, then you tack in their direction on that issue. Whether you find it tasteful or not, that’s what you do if you want to win. That’s literally the name of the game
