The author just complains that people work too hard at Rockstar, recaps the youtube video of the dude killing the feminist in RDR2 then goes on to complain that the only sources of left leaning gaming "news" have to be propped up by massive media corporations while moderate and right wing gaming "content" producers exist organically on Youtube.

Competition from high quality content producers produces less need to make screeching leftist narratives on youtube and reddit, which are a masturbatorium of white males with no diversity of thought.
Now, instead of fighting external political threats, gamers fight among themselves. There are left-wing gamers dominating news websites and podcasts, and right-wing gamers dominating YouTube and Reddit, and they are soft-locked into a cold war with each other.
Right-wingers dominate Reddit? What, because /r/kotakuinaction exists? Come on.
That said, the issue isn't that everyone is polarized it's that media voices are just trying to generate clicks by outraging their users. Some rando uploads a video attacking an NPC and people treat it like Mein Kampf just got published. Articles like this are part of the problem.
