The PC was to determine the best way to deal with the NPC. In this scenario they ended up in a battle and the PC killed him.
After the battle I said, “That’s all for now. You just killed Jesus.”
My plan was to then fast forward many hundreds of years to play a campaign in a highly technologically advanced and peaceful world.
Had the PC failed the campaign would have still gone into the far future but it would have been a post-apocalyptic world that has been ravaged by crusaders out to destroy everything that isn’t Christian.
