Most of the people in on lucid dreaming are basically cashing in on it; if the people writing about it could actually lucid dream they'd realize it's an incredibly boring exercise in pointlessly circle jerking yourself in dream form. Same thing with asmr, most of the people making asmr videos have no sensitivity to the effect and are just kind of waving their hands randomly guessing at shit to cash in.
