Oh God.
Between the idiot who can't read more than one book per month and the guy who is "A recovering videogame addict who hasn't read a book in 10 years" - Because only lesser humans can't have multiple life ruining hobbies at once and the literal brainlet lite - - I really can't be assed to mock every single user in that thread.
Also, this is what /lit/ has become? After losing the original board multiple times because it was not popular enough, the lit that survives is a shit meme factory filled with half-brains pretending to be intellectuals?
This is the most depressing thing I've seen all day and it's not even 10:30
/lit/ was specifically targeted by redditfugees because they saw it as some epic ideological rivalry, even though /lit/ was always more interested in DFW memes than any actual left-wing ideology. Regardless, as hiroshimoot only ever cared about money and /pol/ brought in the most clicks, nothing was done about it, and the at maximum couple hundred /lit/posters were quickly overwhelmed and filtered out as quality deteriorated intensely from around late 2015 onwards. Still, the legacy of /lit/ as a sort of internet version of Paris in the 1920’s still lives on in the memories of her old posters, scattered across the web. Sometimes when the thoughts take hold of you late at night and you open up that copy of Tundra hidden in your bookcase, with the right type of eyes it is as though it is alive again. There is never any ending to /lit/ and the memory of each person who has lived in it differs from that of any other. We always returned to it no matter who we were or how it was changed or with what difficulties, or ease, it could be reached. /lit/ was always worth it and you received return for whatever you brought to it. But this is how /lit/ was in the early days when we were very poor and very happy.
I thought that was /his/? But now it looks like it's filled with monarchists and autists trying to find the most obscure ideology possible (I remember seeing a synarchist thread there lmao).

That’s makes the previous part of the sentence less impressive, not more
Maybe if you slowed down a bit while reading all those books and achieved some comprehension you’d be able to construct an effective sentence Mr. Hotshot Speedreader
I have taken much more than a month to finish a book actually, it depends on how much time you spend on it obviously. I did finish Storm of Swords (which is a tome) in a few days. Because I literally did nothing else besides use the bathroom while reading it because I was so engrossed.
A lot of other books just aren't page turners though, and I can't spend that much time on them.
Believing that 100% 1 book = 1 month is retarded though obviously.

Gay porn is a genre that cuts across all demographics and the stigma that you have to be gay to enjoy it needs to come to an end right now.

/his/ still has decent threads. I learned a lot of Chinese, Mesoamerican and African history from references to events there.

I only get to read about a book a month. If you lazy pieces of shit worked enough you would only be able to read one book a month too
Although I do get through 3-4 audiobooks a month on my commute
1 Vurtizontal 2018-12-14
Audiobooks don't count.

That must suck for people who die at the age of 45.
