Eh depends on why you overeat, which veggies you eat, and what makes you fuller.
Lots of veggies have high fiber which makes you feel hella full which makes you eat less which makes you lose weight.
Ofc if you're a ham bc you're an emotional binge eater, it doesn't matter at all how full you are bc all that fiber aint gonna fill the hole in your heart.
They're fat, so they need to eat less. Why don't they just go for the option that has a higher cost per calorie? They're fat so it's not like they actually need the surplus.
I’m in Sydney and I definitely don’t see 7 overweight people out of every 10 young people I see on the street.
Found the fatty.
This of course does not take into account the increasing number of gym bros putting on stacks of muscle, since BMI is just a measure of weight relative to height. I feel like I see an equal number of hamplanets as I do jacked motherfuckers.
(X) for doubt. Also, many people who are "jacked" are not lean. Lastly, you don't have to be a hamplanet to be overweight.
the gym bro meme is so retarded. first of all most people don't even work out. then those who work out but are fat are still fat, they're not not fat anymore just because they got some muscle mass now.
Also being overweight and lean isn't even super easy, if I take Matt Ogus and Jeff Nippard, both bodybuilders who've been working out for 10+ years, also possibly / probably on steroids, they have a BMI of 26/27, that's barely overweight and they're wider than 99.99% of gym bros you'd see around while being similarly lean.
Muscle doesn't make you look fat, it makes you look fuller. Compare guys at 18% bodyfat with good muscle development to skinny fats at the same percentage.
Muscle doesn't make you look fat, it makes you look fuller. Compare guys at 18% bodyfat with good muscle development to skinny fats at the same percentage.
BMI is fairly biased/inaccurate... Just the other way. There have been a few BF% now that prove the actual numbers are way worse. More than 90% of Americans might be overweight for example.
Most importantly, the average guy who goes to the gym is not so massively muscular that they skew the BMI percentages. The only people I know who are actually north of 200 lbs and are incredibly lean all played D1 athletics in college or were using steroids in high school
Veggie dishes are always miserable (unless you add copious amounts of life shortening cheese and bacon) so you're better off just mandating it to your kids and to yourself. You feel way better a couple of hours after eating a bowl of that stuff, just suffer it.
This is why you should learn to cook and expand your Palate. Brussel sprouts are fucking delicious
People always bitch when you point out that healthy meals can be made for $2. It's just coping.
If you're lazy as fuck and only want to spend $2 then you get a pretty shit meal. If you spend a tiny bit more time and effort you can make something nice, but people don't want nice ('it's too much effort for tired working-class NEETs like me') they just want to spend $15 (Australian prices) on shit from Maccas to appease the adipose.
People make cooking more difficult than it needs to be. If you enjoy doing something intricate then more power to you but broiling a protein and some vegies on the side is easy, good and good for you. I seriously have been considering writing a cookbook specifically geared towards men with simple 2-4 step procedures that dirty minimum dishes and can be done within an hour.
People make cooking more difficult than it needs to be.
It might not be difficult but I abhor cooking. Any time I deviate from the recipe and ending up having shit tasting dish I REEE. Cooking bores me, so in order to actually do it I need to chain myself to the fucking kitchen until it is done - sometimes it's not quite possible.
> can be done within an hour.
Bitch, an hour after a workday and a solid hour of getting home from work (because God save me I don't live in the downtown) is an hour I wasted doing something that I might not even cook right. All power to you if your willpower alone makes you do it but it's an immense torture for me.
I dont mean yous have to actually engage in cooking for an hour...you would Judy out in the over after 10 minutes of prep. If you can handle setting a timer on your phone you can easily do it.
Heres one for you that feeds 2 people.
You needa whole a pork tenderloin, about 20 brussel sprouts, a sweet potato, coarse ground peppercorn and coriander, salt, garlic, olive or or something comparable I prefer grapeseed.
Preheat the over to 425. Salt the pork loin then dredge it in crushed peppercorn and coriander and place on a greased cookie sheet. Dice the sweet potato, Roughly chop the garlic and halve the brussel sprouts then toss them both in salt n pepper and olive oil then place them on the cookie sheet next to the tenderloin. Cook for 45 minutes. You just made a Moroccan pork loin and it took you about 15 minutes of prep
Man I really need to find a way to maximise taste while minimizing time cooking and money wasted
Most of my gym problems are problems with kitchen and food. I dont have time tk cook (or at least it feels like i dont) when i cook is shit and i never have the will power to wait to cook something healthy when I am starving
I wonder if taking cooking classes and organizing myself better, maybe freezing food, would help. But mt situation fucking sucks right now
Learning how to season is extremely important....so many people forget to use salt and pepper...salting the water before you cook pasta greatly improves any pasta dish for example.
Idk about cooking classes, I spent my late teens and my 20s working as a cook/chef(probably the most cucked profession) and I reached the upper echelon when I worked in SF so I never experienced cooking in a class setting.
If you were to marinate protein over night then freeze it the next day that would go a long ways to making your food taste better without you having to learn much. just make sure when you marinate you use something with vinegar in it like mustard or an Italian dressing, it usually adds good flavor to a protein and aloe tenderizes it.
At the grocery store they sell pre marinated tenderloins, steaks and tritips that make meal planning easier. Ultimately, if your goal is to lose weight and you have a problem with portion control you should completely cut out carbs, eat a lot of meats and veggies and switch up what you eat on a regular basis so you don't get bored.
One of my favorite things to eat is blackened tuna cooked rare and sliced thin. Put it on a bed of arugala with diced tomato, red onion and cucumber then top it with a drizzle of teriyaki and if your feeling fancy, a curry vinaigrette which is just curry paste, dijon mustard, salt/pepper emulsified with a neutral oil like grapeseed. If you're feeling really, reslly fancy you can forgo the teriyaki drizzle and saute some sliced shitake mushrooms, green onions and tomatoes in teriyaki then top the tuna with that...its like a mushroom salsa and it's simple and tastes fucking great
Everytime someone mentions BMI on reddit, some fatty points out how The Rock or 70's Arnie is technically obese, forgetting that those guys drown themselves in steroids and and are very different from his 40 BMI fatass.
Less than 1 in 10 adult Australians is eating enough vegetables, and almost half do not eat enough fruit, according to the survey.
What's the point in eating fruit when you eat enough veggies? Any nutrients that fruits may provide are present in veggies probably in higher amount without the added sugar no?
Because Australia, like most countries, are using an outdated food guide where it's more important to eat a certain amount of "food groups" instead of just looking at nutrients.
I have a friend that is a US Marine that was stationed at the US military base in Darwin and he said the Aussies were weak and would get beat up in bar fights by US Marines every weekend.

Seriously. If pornhub is suggesting cuck porn for you, it's because their algorithm has determined, scientifically, that you're a cuck. That's all.

I think OP's takes are largely correct, it's really hard for people to notice they're gaining weight when it's gradual.

Arnie had a BMI in the low 30s when he was Mr Olympia. Only just barely obese.
1 18aidanme 2018-12-15
That's my point, these 40 BMI turbo planets are basically implying they have more muscle mass than fucking Arnold Schwarzenegger.

On a real note, the reason these morons don't see obesecels in Sydney is because obesity in rural towns completely skews the numbers.
