The people involved here probably don't even respect bussy all that much.

I hate commies.

Be easy on them. Their parents have just started making them buy Christmas presents.

Implying they have money. This the first time they made jr add his name to the "x"mas card.

I really, unironically do. I have no idea why Reddit is filled with them. I know it's super cool to be an edgelord on the internet, but I just can't take you seriously when you're defending an ideology that killed more than the fucking Nazis ever did.

Not just more... 4-7x more.

I have no idea why Reddit is filled with them.

It's a product of the upvote/downvote system, as well as the whole "subreddit" design. If you want to be a good leftist/rightist, you have accept and/or excuse retards from "your" side, otherwise people will accuse you of being a "concern troll" or some shit from the "other side".

So, seeing their retardation excused, more retards flock to the sub in question. Their views get normalized to previously regular people ("Huh, I was just left leaning before but all these people can't be wrong, maybe cops are evil"/"Huh, I was just right leaning before but all these people can't be wrong, maybe Muslims are evil") and it just gets worse and worse.

At this rate, in a couple years people are just gonna call reddit "that one huge communist message forum". Most of the site is left leaning, but most lefty political subs unironically admire communism, so...it's just gonna continue to metastasize.

A free mod for a video game being made is proof you can have thousands of people all working on a huge polished AAA game just because they feel like doing it.

Dude people still make mods for fucking Skyrim. An almost decade old game, all for free. Even when steam tried to monetize it they refused.

Fuck off with your 'competition' and 'no incentive' bullshit.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Comparing the effort required to make shitty skyrim mods to high budget games

imagine caring about fuckin videogames

magine caring about fuckin videogames

Imagine posting in CTH πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Chapotard out

The same applies to pretty much every major project requiring significant resources and funding, not just video games.

You have to go back...

Cost a lot more, figure doesn’t include PS4, Xbox, PC, or the Online DLC. When all is said and done, it’ll probably cost $500 million to make, and have made $6 billion. Most games are much smaller scale, tho

Being a communist requires you to have not even a remote idea of how basic economics works so not suprising

The only communists that are completely retards admit that it's less efficient. Stalinism is literally having capitalism make things efficient enough so communism can take over.

Reddit mods would do it for free 😘

A game developed by reddit mods would make the most abusive microtransaction riddled mobile lootbox cancer look like mutually enjoyable sex with constantly affirmed enthusiastic consent.

Do they think Skyrim was made by commies?

Imagine Todd Howard being in charge of getting Skryim to people under a communist regime. You might get Skyrim by the time he re-releases it.

And many of the more prolific creators have donations and Patreons set up with not insignificant returns. I would hardly call a patronage system "communist".

Wyrmstooth was actually a really impressive mod tbh.

I'm just annoyed how they called Skyrim an "almost decade old game."

Low budget communist video games would be more like the ones I played as a kid, which are the best games of all time. Fallout 1 and 2 are better and more interesting games than any of the new ones.

Cybernetics is thus a reactionary mechanistic theory that seeks to set aside modern scientific thought based on materialistic dialectics, far backwards, to a mechanistic philosophy that has been outdated and refuted more than a hundred years ago.

-Marxists

So, yeah, there would be no computers, games, genetics, nuclear energy, and other wrong-thinks in the full communism world.

Cybernetics is thus a reactionary mechanistic theory

mechanistic philosophy that has been outdated and refuted

Why are these people so fucking retarded? How have they not suffocated from huffing their own farts yet?

Marxists also labeled Einstein's theory of Relativity and Quantum mechanics as reactionary wrong-think. Frankly, Beria saved the day.

However, when Deputy Chairman of the USSR Council of Ministers L.P. Beria, who was in charge of the development of the Soviet atomic bomb, asked I.V. Kurchatov, the scientific director of the atomic project, whether it was true that quantum mechanics and the theory of relativity should be abandoned because of their "idealistic" nature, he heard in response: "If they were to be abandoned, we would have to abandon the bomb. In response, L.P. Beria said that the most important thing was the bomb, and the rest was nothing.

At least Beria did one good thing.

Tankies are unironically the only good kind of commies.

Yeah, because the USSR was so bad at cybernetics right?

Btw I couldn't find that quote anywhere but the term "cybernetics" was first coined in 1948 by Norbert wiener. So whatever cybernetics meant before that date was probably way different from you're trying to imply.

Stalin wasn't violent enough with the likes of you .

Is that quote an actual sentence?

Gamingcirclejerk keeps swinging around lik a tree in the wind. Give it 30 seconds and it'll be something else again.

"i cant believe these people rejected a chapocel. go get em xers"

Tetris

I like Tetris, but let's not pretend it's the same thing as a Rockstar or even a Bethesda game.

Lmao doesn’t EA own Tetris now

It's over for monopoly-busting-cels

ya it's better

lmao they are talking about the game whos creator received no compensation until the collapse of communism.

Totally unrelated, but someone once told me tetris was a great example of a game that doesn't have any politics in it.

Yeah buddy, the game made in and popularized by a communist government, where you're punished for failing to fit into a greater whole, featuring the kremlin as the background, isn't actually saying anything.

Totally unrelated, but someone once told me tetris was a great example of a game that doesn't have any politics in it.

Yeah buddy, the game made-in and popularized by a communist government, featuring the kremlin as the background, where you're punished for failing to fit into a collectivist whole isn't actually saying anything.

Not to mention that when you do successfully fall into line, you diminish into nothingness

based brainlet

tetris is way better than any god damn bethesda game

Yikes

Cuba has been pumping out some great video games lately, white capitalist pig-dogs can't compete

Should they really use Tetris as an example of communism and video games? Pajitnov was strong armed into giving the rights to the government for free.

I am sure these faggots only play Pong and Tetris.

I unironically only play tetris

And depression quest. And whatever garbage briana wu shat out

Have you ever seen what the Chinese game market looks like? Micro transactions everywhere, extremely repetetive gameplay.

They are basically saying either they would make these games for free, or the government will. No way in hell would they spend 300 million dollars to satisfy some fat neckbeards

Are you seriously equating China to a socialist society?

That's the closest anyone will ever get to stable communism. Or would you rather show me another socialist or communist country which successfully produces games? I would be interested.

A literal billionaire just got promoted into the community party. Among other wealthy factory and land owners. And somehow to you, this is the closest we will ever get to communism. Jfc.

Blah blah blah. Answer my question. Prove me wrong.

Oh you can't? Too bad. For you.

Post hog xd

See? Communism works.

A literal billionaire just got promoted into the communist party

This is literally by design you absolute tardoid. Communism and socialism has always been about power grabs and centralizing power in the hands of a couple elites. It will never amount toanything else.

If China today was anything like the maoist hellhole it was in the past, these billionaires and land owners would be executed at gunpoint you 'tardoid'(xd retard funneh). But no I guess if a government calls itself communist it has to be communist. Just like how North Korea is a Democratic republic.

It's almost as if communism is literally for putting the elite in power, literally what I just said πŸ€”

I just told you that if China was maoist in any way at all the elite would be executed. But no I guess reading isn't y'alls strong suit.

Y'all posting? In my drama? It's more likely than you think.

Y'allocaust when?

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we'd have a merry christmas.

the elite would be executed

By the new elite, who promptly stops executing their comrades once they're comfortable in their positions of power. Almost like what happened in every communist country πŸ€”

Yeah and they’d be left with sub 80 iq retards in charge of what those billionaires were in charge of before, causing the collapse of their economy and economic production. Almost like we saw the same thing in Maoist China and why β€œmade in China” still has an implication that it’s of shitty quality πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ€”

Also you’re wrong on saying β€œelites” will be killed. Just elites that don’t properly adhere to the party. Elites that agreed with the party were perfectly acceptable.

You’d also be gunned down their for having any original thoughts tho, so I can’t complain too much.

Free Territory (1918-1921) was the closest thing to communist.

Of course the Bolsheviks tore them down easily.

Don't know if they were stable, they're just easy prey for big government commies. "true" communism doesn't work because statists will always win that fight.

Chapos are retarded.

3 years

when your perfect commie society collapsed quicker than rojava and catalonia πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

That's communism for you.

Because they can't buy games or else the communist government removes their citizen points, the Chinese communist party hates games.

Free to play was the workaround but now China is catching up and apparently banning fortnite and pubg

Cell division is the sole reason for your existence. Therefore, unrestrained cell division must be good right?

It would be good if it happened to /r/gamingcirclejerk users

capitalism is better than communism = anarcho-capitalism is best thing hurr

We'd be better off if capitalism didn't force those poor stem cells into specializing into cell types that can be easily exploited.

Also what's the "Army uniform designer" of differentiated cells?

But muh tetris checkmate capitalist.

Marx was wrong about only one thing: it is not the proletariat, but the gamers, who are the revolutionary force that will RISE UP to overthrow capitalism.

Most people think Mao's contribution to Marxist theory was that the peasantry were a revolutionary class, but he was actually talking about gamers. That's why there are so many Chinese hackers. They're trying to get gamers to rise up by making the material conditions of online gaming unbearable.

Imagine being a commie retarded and whining about video games instead of just not buying them, letting the markets decide what is and is t s good idea.

What's the deal with GCJ anyways, sounds like Ghazi shitposting sub. Which would be fine if they weren't all chapoposters to boot.

Is it really surprising that gamers have ruined circlejerking after all the other things they've driven into the ground?

They suck so much EA cock I wouldn't be surprised if they were a corporate psy ops

Skyrim Mods have donation buttons and actually live through hardcore fans who pay them. /thread

You want antifa approved video game about stopping the evil Donald Trump lookalike?

That will cost you my good man

You want far right video game about killing minorities and gay people?

Free to download

Really makes you think

People will just give me things for free. Hello, yes sir, yeah you. Make shit and give it to me for free. Thank you very much. On your way now. Man communism is great.

Is Gamingcirclejerk the SRDinized version of /r/gaming?

It's the inceltears to braincels. I posted cuck porn there mocking them and they enjoyed it so much it never got deleted

I get that they're different mediums, but communist Russia actually had quality films, literature and art that were state funded. And no, they weren't all trash state propaganda just because the state paid for it. Films like Stalker, Solaris and books like Omon Ra, We, and The Master and Margarita are all pretty widely influential works that came directly from Soviet Russia.

Not trying to defend communism, or say that it's ideal for producing videogames/art etc. But it's pretty disingenuous to believe that art stops happening under communism. I'm personally super into Soviet era science fiction, because it often carries it's influences with abundant clarity.

Yeah but these people are saying that red dead two would be made. A game with a budget of 300 million dollars

Solaris cost ~5 million dollars (converted to USD and adjusted for inflation) to make. Obviously this is a far cry from 300 million but there definitely was room in Soviet society for expensive pieces of entertainment to be produced. In some ways the lack of a need to "break even" changed the way some films were presented-- the director of Solaris Andrei Tarkovsky once said that his movie was intended to be boring for the first hour so that idiots would leave the theater.

I'm definitely not advocating for communism and I would never want to live in such a society, but dang so much of what was produced under such strange, non-capitalistic, heavily scrutinized circumstances was SOOOO good and super interesting historically. Like wtf would video games look like today for a communist society? If I had to guess, such an economy would favor "lifestyle" or service based free to play games. It was very much in the Soviet Union's best interest to keep citizens entertained and subdued, and if it existed today I doubt they wouldn't have their greasy hands all up in state-run Russian fortnite or some shit. It's just all so interesting to think about.

Solaris cost ~5 million dollars (converted to USD and adjusted for inflation) to make. Obviously this is a far cry from 300 million but there definitely was room in Soviet society for expensive pieces of entertainment to be produced.

The thing is the reason why Soviet government allowed Solaris to be made and was rather lenient in it's production was because they wanted to "one up" 2001 and sort of show that USSR could produce stuff like that as well. Ironically, it was competition that led to Solaris.

That's actually hilarious! Solaris is one of my favorite films/books (NOT the George Clooney one) so it's great to learn so much today about it. I'm surprised that several people actually knew what I was talking about, considering I've met all of nobody in real life who's seen or heard of it before.

Bear in mind that Tarkovsky absolutely hated Soviet Russia and believed it was a parasite eating away at the core identity of the Russian people and their culture, which was made obvious with movies like Andrei Rublev. A bunch of his scripts and projects were never finished because the Soviet authorities constantly tried to deter and sabotage him. It's pretty nonsensical for people to bring him up as a proof that communist regimes could produce art when he was, by all means, great despite Soviet government.

He's also an exception. When someone talks of communist cinema it's always Tarkovsky, Tarkovsky, Tarkovsky. They struck luck with one good director and milked it for all it was worth. He was basically so good the Soviets couldn't even replace him although his anti Soviet sentiments were nearly surface level.

The Nazis had Leni Riefenstahl, the Soviets had Andrei Tarkovsky, the US got Stanley Kubrick.

That's really interesting! Thank you for sharing. That's kinda what I meant by the work showing it's influence. We was a book that was written by Yevgeny Zamyatin in the early days of the Soviet Union and is often considered the first true dystopian novel, predating Brave New World and 1984 by many years. Though it was initially published as an English translation outside of the Soviet Union!

One really interesting aspect to Soviet art and society was a concept of "Social realism", a sort of policy that mandated art depicting the Soviet Union was to be highly optimistic, and pointing towards a brighter future. The experimental film "Man with a Movie Camera" depicts Soviet life and industry all the while using innovative camera techniques such as stop motion. Though my favorite instance of "social realism" is the film "The Road to The Stars", a little biopic about Tsiokolvsky, the Russian rocket scientist who contributed, amongst other things, to the earliest multi-stage rockets. The movie is interesting in that while it discusses history and modern science, it seemlessly transitions into science-fiction, depicting cosmonauts on board a giant rotating space station, prior to real space stations ever existing. And the audiences of the time probably never knew when the "truth" ended and the "social realism" ended!

That degree finally paying off

I am a bot. Contact for questions

Haha, good bot. I didn't get a degree in soviet science fiction, but sometimes I wish I had!

The thing is, at one point you have to question whether artists like Tarkovsky and Eisenstein were able to create their art because of communist regime or despite it. A lot of artists that people note as "Great Soviet Artists" were more or less constantly heckled and sometimes sabotaged by the regime.
