Euthanizing animals is unironically awesome and we should be doing it a lot more often. They have no idea they're being put down and have no friends/family members so it's not like there's an ethical dilemma about making them not-alive anymore, and it's cheap + painless.
Reduces animal suffering, reduces their environmental impact, reduces litter, reduces the amount of attacks on humans/other dogs. There's a lot more dogs/cats than there are people who deserve to own them or are even interested in adopting them in the first place.
The only reason the bans don't 100% work is they start labeling the dog of peace as breeds other than pitbulls to get away with it, if you took that a way then they'd be more effective.
But that points to the problem as a whole, 'pitbull' has always encompassed multiple breeds. And then more often than not were actually talking about mutts. Shit like this dog has almost guranteed to be crossed with like a rottwiler or mastiff for size. And that raises questions about blaming breeds, which cant even be geneticlly identified, in mutts.
