Women can exist in a semi functioning state at retardation levels that would reduce men to a life of homeless desperation. I assume she exists at that level.
No one is free from judgement. Id be judged no matter what I wore, the only difference is id be judged for a facade and not what I actually want to wear. The world isn't divided into anything, with regard to friends vs non-friends, the amount of time i spend talking to a person is directly related to how much I get along with them. There is a scale from cute to cringey that people will judge me on--
I accept that the people that find me cringey are probably not going to want to be seen with me in public, and since I'm not going to change my style to accommodate their distaste, I respect that and recognize that it's not going to work. There is no reason to "act normal" or "dress normal" because that's not my life and it would be dishonest to anyone that thinks they're going to get a normal looking person. Imagine if you met someone and then after you chilled a few times they were like "I have to tell you something. I've been dishonest to you. I normally dress like a cat and I've been intentionally leading you on..". Even if they accepted me that, it would be a total bait and switch and nothing id want to be on the other end of. My wife met me looking like this (debatably cringier), and if I can find true love as a dude with a tail on, I'm sure anything is possible.
Regarding judgement .. When I have to field dozens of interactions an hour from people I don't know, their tone and words toward me are all I have to go on. I don't judge them based on their profile picture, username, or appearance, but if they start with "omg your adorable", that's going to get replied to a lot faster than "wtf are you wearing". If the ratio of people negatively interacting with me were higher, it would probably factor into my decisions at some point, but I'm used to ignoring haters. I lived most of my life as a person too large to sit in a movie theatre seat or to ride a rollercoaster...I'm virtually immune to shallow appearance-based remarks. But compliments, selfies, offers to go on podcasts, free photo shoots ... That.. ive never felt before until I stopped dressing myself based on laziness and tradition and started buying clothes Id wanna see on myself.
My wardrobe is my wardrobe. I don't deliberately buy things that will land me on Reddit, that's just my taste. As I've lost weight (down from peaking at almost 600lbs) I've become more social and more mobile, and as part of walking everyday (street, malls, parks, boardwalk) which is part of my exercise routine, I have taken direct feedback from people that stop me. The feedback I get (It's 100% inbound, im passive as hell and don't talk to people unless they approach me) typically of related to some part of my wardrobe. While I don't wear anything specifically for attention, as with anyone, im more likely to wear things people specifically complement me on. The overwhelming validation from people I don't know IRL far outweighs any shit I get from people online.
I will admit that I now spend a lot more money on boots and fur because ever since people started taking third party photos of me that get circulation, I've been self conscious about the condition of my fur and boots. I get a lot of feedback on both and the only few times I've ever taken feedback from someone to heart was when they correctly pointed out that my fur was unbrushed in a photo on People of Wal-Mart. I think that's fine, if anything it's an incentive to keep my gear fresh and ever changing.
I get bored of things easily.. I'm not sure how long the tail/ears will be part of my style, but it doesn't help that they create incredible interactions that make feel euphoric. "Omg I follow you on Instagram, can I get a pic with you?!" are words id never imagine I'd be hearing from strangers if you asked me 5 years ago. I've been responding to this reddit post for like 4 hours on and off and in that time I've gotten five DMs from people wanting to make sure that I'm not gonna change my wardrobe due to this post. I'm not, don't worry.
Meh, his responses are emotionally mature and he accepts that it's odd but is comfortable with it, my feelings are more "live and let live" and I can respect odd people as long as they're chill
Not denying that he's eccentric and weird as hell, just not as much of a lolcow as one would originally assume by a picture taken at 2am of him wearing Splatoon pajamas.
yeah people are so fucking eager to pile on and make up some imaginary awful life for this dude
meanwhile he seems to pretty much mind his own business and isnt utterly unhinged
dont see a problem.
I mean lots of 'normal' people spend their lives jacking off to porn and bing watching netflix while being obese and eating junk food. This guy is doing better than them.
I just really want to know what he was doing with those flowers and did the person accept his confession or did she go full tsundere?? I feel like this is one of those things that is so fucking weird that people would be 110% interested in
I do admit that even I made a comment on a discord about him "looking like a fat squirrel dressed up as a human", but after actually seeing him explain it and being comfortable with it, I realized that I was being a bit of a dick and deleted it.
He seems overall to be a chill dude who minds his own business, accepts his weirdness, and doesn't push people to accept him for it, but I also think think that a lot of the initial comments making fun of him are based on initial judgement and lack of knowledge from not seeing his posts explaining it.
Yeah, I'm here to make fun of lolcows and idiots and this dude seems like neither. Has a sense of humor about himself, doesn't care if people laugh at his silly shit, seems to be happy and having fun.
It's pretty telling that all the redditors in there are desperately trying to hurt him with their spicy posts, but he's all "I'm cool with me, so that shit doesn't work" but still they try.
Kinda apparent who the real insecure losers are in that exchange.
It'd be one thing if he was taking the bait while in vehement denial chris-chan style, but at a certain point it's like "dude, do you really need to get one up on a fat dude that dresses like furry kandi kid 24/7?"
I was more keying in on the Netflix watching masturbating weirdos....its ok if you're a furry...I mean, most people despise you but r/drama is a safe space for you to roam
He's an engineer, a job where he's given more leeway about his weirdness and the fact that he's odd. He is able to find his niche, hold a job, and is able to function despite his weirdness.
Why is that difficult? he is seeking attention and my response is to laugh and make furry jokes. He's intelligent enough to defend himself from the retards who think expressing themselves to him will somehow be cathartic for him, he doesn't need The Furry Defense Force to mobilize
Because he handles it in a mature manner, legitimately doesn't care about being made fun of for the clothes he wears, functions well in society, isn't unstable and is comfortable and shrugs it off whenever he's made fun of.
So it's a symbiotic relationship between people like him and me and the people who think they need to defend him or the ones who think they can fix him are both spergs?
Or because people took a picture of him and posted it on the internet and he has the right to be like "Hey guys, let me clarify a few things about this and who I am."
He's also bragging about the constant attention he gets and claimed that he has a Facebook album full of all the people who approach him asking for pictures. He also has a YouTube channel. If he were trying to mind his own business he wouldn't dress like a space kitty 24/7
i was living my life, minding my own business and then i saw a picture of him dressed up like a total retard and it negatively impacted my day. how is that harmless?
We aren't defending him because he's a furry, we're defending him because his behavior is overall harmeless and just wants to mind his own business and live his life being weird.
You can defend his right to be his weird little self while also finding him hilarious and sad
Yeah, it takes a lot of bravery to have the body shape of an eggplant and dress like that. But if he's not hurting anyone, I don't see the problem, either. At least he's not going around getting upset with people online for not being completely miserable with their lives like those folks in that cringetopia thread.
Nah, after seeing him explain it, he seems emotionally mature, accepts that he's weird, doesn't force anyone to accept him for it and just minds his own business and does what makes him comfortable.
He's eccentric, but he's not unstable, and is completely comfortable with it. My feelings in this case are more "just be yourself and do what makes you comfortable" and "live and let live."
Does this guy live in or near Houston? There is a microcosm of furries, juggalos and all around trashy people who live in and around Houston. Really we should just nuke the whole area
Honestly I can't even make fun of the dude, it's too sad. Making fun of kids with leukemia or calling teenaged anorexic chicks fatties seem like a better option.

but they are obese netflix binging masturbating weirdos
so..

He's an engineer, a job where he's given more leeway about his weirdness and the fact that he's odd. He is able to find his niche, hold a job, and is able to function despite his weirdness.
1 charming_tatum 2018-12-22
Same with Trump, the members of ICP and (RIP) Aleister Crowley. What's up with the Furry Defense Force. Did you guys organize on discord or something?
1 Ritalin_Rx 2018-12-22
It's just hard to laugh at someone for harmless behavior that they accept is weird and are comfortable with.
1 charming_tatum 2018-12-22
Why is that difficult? he is seeking attention and my response is to laugh and make furry jokes. He's intelligent enough to defend himself from the retards who think expressing themselves to him will somehow be cathartic for him, he doesn't need The Furry Defense Force to mobilize
1 Ritalin_Rx 2018-12-22
Because he handles it in a mature manner, legitimately doesn't care about being made fun of for the clothes he wears, functions well in society, isn't unstable and is comfortable and shrugs it off whenever he's made fun of.
1 charming_tatum 2018-12-22
So it's a symbiotic relationship between people like him and me and the people who think they need to defend him or the ones who think they can fix him are both spergs?
1 Ritalin_Rx 2018-12-22
Neither, he's just a harmless cat dude who isn't hurting anyone and just wants to mind his own business and live his life.
1 charming_tatum 2018-12-22
He definitely doesn't want to mind his own business. From his comments and his insta its ascertainable that he thrives off of the attention
