To be fair, Jesus stayed within the borders of the Roman Empire his entire life, even his infancy.

He was itinerant, but not a migrant.

They don't know where he was from age 12 to age 30. Some people think he went to India and/or North America.

Only hippies and mormons think that. In reality, he was a poor kid in some backwater of the Roman Empire. Not likely he made it to india and back.

So you believe in the Three Kings Virgin birth manger overturning the money changers tables and then dying on the cross-resurrection Jesus but not that he could have traveled the Silk Road a la Marco Polo Jesus?

Well, there is evidence for that stuff, but none for Marco Polo Jesus, so yeah.

Evidence you say? Like the Bible written 2 centuries later?

The Gospel of Mark has manuscripts dating back to 70 AD. Try harder.

Got em 👣👁👀🧠👃

Don’t forget that Q literally predicted this https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q_source

Daily reminder that Q is just a hypothetical shared source. There is no known "Q" document.

Well yes but when three of the gospels present the same stories almost verbatim it seems a pretty safe bet.

I think a shared oral tradition could also explain it. I just say that because some novices to historical critical views on scripture tend to go a bit crazy when it comes to Q. A hypothesis should be treated as a hypothesis, which Q is.

Well, there is evidence for that stuff

I honestly can't tell if this is ironic or not

I just got back from midnight Mass to tell you that I am not being ironic.

Theres loads of evidence for the existence of Christ and where he was. Most historians would agree he existed, the being God part is the debate

Theres loads of evidence for the existence of Christ and where he was

There's really not. There is a record that a man named Christ was executed

Je*us might allah forgive me was a rapefugee

Isn't Jesus a beloved prophet in Islam

Wouldn’t say beloved. More like barely acknowledged

But still not asterisk territory. Fucking l*rpers

You could always argue that Jesus was the first Anchor Baby. I mean, he anchored the Holy Spirit to a Human Form. (° ͜ʖ°)

Betoids vs Berncels drama is still better

He was a migrant, and he upset the social order so much, the local elites had him executed.

What's their point?

Thank god he wasn’t a hurricane victim.

Lol.

Why does anyone give a fuck about what Joel Osteen thinks?

Because he’s wealthy, successful, and somewhat popular - all things out of reach for redditors

this is why Muhammad (bless Allah) was such an alpha compared to jesus, after the government told him to get out, he came back an conquered the the fucking place, meanwhile beta jesus and his followers got fucked by the romans big time for like two centuries or something.
