CES doesn't ban sex toys, as there were a number of them featured in another category. The manufacturers of this particular device were likely aware of this, but choose to go ahead and enter into the robotics category anyway. If it was allowed to stay then they could claim to have elevated the sex toy, if or when it was disqualified they could stir the pot and then use the free coverage from hordes of angry """journalists""" to sell a ton of dildos.
