By certain body type you of course mean children that were forced to undergo gender reassignment surgery. They are also undergoing constant training after going through hormone replacement therapy. This makes perfect sense.
Yeah, it's not like they've been training their entire lives to mold themselves into the peak physical shape for their sport. Not like all female athletes that require low body fat have tiny tits. I'm just sad for this guy who's never experienced the bomb ass and abs of an athletic chick.
not super knowledgeable about gymnastics but here's my take:
Gymnastics probably favor girls with a more boyish body type, e.g. not as wide hips, less fat stored in hips and chest which would be beneficial for stabilization purposes and such.
More prominent abs and Adonis belt are a result of gymnastics training which involves a lot of core and stabilization work in combination with low bodyfat which is beneficial to perform on a competitive level. Since women are usually too high in bodyfat and have not as a developed core as gymnasts these features are more prominent in girls who do gymnastics. Works for any sport where a lot of core / stabilization work is involved and where low bodyfat is an advantage e.g. cheerleading.
The rest about jaws and such doesn't seem convincing either, some women just have more angular jaws, some men have more rounded ones ...
Also gymnast girls are often hot, with their less curvy bodies and tiny abs. Best look in competitive sports.
AFAIK it's more of the contrary, they have that body type because they are high level athletes in the first place and have been training since childhood. Low levels of body fat and high strain on the body delay and lessen puberty, giving a more boyish appearance overall.
