Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro are horrible authors for debate and despite the cults of personality around them they do not actually make compelling arguments or literature that is effective in a debate context. It is your job to defend your authors. People read Heidegger and Schmidt and they were both Nazis. If you really really really wanted to go down this route you should’ve blocked out author indicts but it’s an uphill battle with extremely little strategic reward (aside from my own personal stance that it’s morally bankrupt to be reading these authors in this way but since this is obviously not a concern for you I’m going to try and focus on why it’s bad independent of ethical questions)
