The thing is the Nazis didn’t actually ban any books, (read: they were merely pretending to be retarded) it was a symbolic burning of Porn and smut and some Jewish plays. YouTube actually deleted and bans videos it disagrees with politically. (removeddit)

Remember that history is written by the victors. I have no doubt that Nazis did some fucked up shit, but the level of lying and propaganda to demonize them is astounding. Americans, Jews, and Soviets did some incredibly fucked up shit in that era too. (kek)

The public square is now youtube, facebook, and twitter. If you are cut off those platforms, your voice is effectively snuffed out, certainly compared to those who are allowed to remain. Is your first principle "people should have access to the public square"? Or is it "muh gubmint is ebil"? (removeddit)

If you're trying to argue that rights entitle you to equal outcomes that would be entirely wrong. Just because a corporation doesn't allow you to use their platform, even if it's for speech, isn't violating your constitional rights. You made a bit of a straw man in the second half there. My logic is: if you didn't pay for it you don't get to claim ownership over it. The public square is payed for by tax payer money, so you're entitled to shares in it. The argument you're making is the exact same as the socialists who demand businesses do whatever the client wants (ie. Gay cake case.) Businesses have the right to refuse service to who they want at their discretion, even if that includes me.
