The classic "It's cold outside, checkmate Global Warming" conundrum strikes once again on r/smuggies, home of the biggest IQs, causing a bit of iffy drama.

If you support free speech, you must support people pinging other users. It's completely legal speech. If you won't defend pinging as free speech because you or someone else finds it disgusting, then no speech that you or anyone else views as disgusting is safe.

if it is in fact on shaky legal ground it's reasonable to not want to be the case that establishes it as illegal.

It's not, The reddit admins are straight up lying to the ignorant (like yourself) to justify their prejudice. Pinging being protected speech has long since been estabilished, as it has undeniable artistic merit. The only time it's been included under any obscenity laws is when someone is being charged with possession of harassment, so the state can slap them with more charges. The courts have been very careful to not charge anyone for pinging, because they'd get their asses fucking annihilated by a higher court due to the firm precedence of pinging being completely legal speech. /r/Drama had nothing to worry about, this guy was just making shit up to fool people into thinking his censoring wasn't entirely personally motivated.

It's over for global- lwarmingcels

They're climate-change-cels now. It still hasn't begun.

It's over for climate-change-cels.

I miss the ozonelayerholecels

Muh CFCs!!!

It's over for aerocels

If you really still doubt climate change the rope can’t come soon enough

What I don't like is that these public initiatives get pushed raising taxes and cost of living for citizens when the major contributors of climate change are industries like agriculture. If you want to limit climate change start by requiring the dairy, meat, etc industries to meet certain standards that will alleviate the problem, let them raise their prices then let the public decide whether they want to purchase their products

People don’t take enough responsibility for their role in all this. Daddy government can only do so much before people actually have to boycott and strike. Now that’s enough seriousposting for one day.

You've got a point. The big reason the government doesn't do a lot, Dems or Republicans, is because if carbon limits raise prices for your average American they'd be voted out as fast as possible, and you'd even have mass strikes and possibly civil unrest. This is something a lot of people ignore. Just look at the yellow vests in France who are pissed off and rioting due to carbon limits.

Atomic blackpill

Or find a way to force farmers to sequester more CO2 in the soil and pass the costs on to consumers.

I don't doubt it I just don't really care tbf

Now this boy is 2 cool 4 school 😼

If one makes and use smuggies the rope also can't come soon enough.

Northern Africa didn't depopulate itself.

I don't doubt, it's just funny that pathetic carbon gas panic and "measures", and "we will all die" running around is literally useless because couple of volcanos farting hard enough might fuck up everything those environmental troglodytes are screaming about.

That and the fact they can't decide between global warming and global cooling.

That and the fact they can't decide between global warming and global cooling.

Nobody seriously claims global cooling is a thing

Global cooling was a conjecture during the 1970s

Retarded boomer science. It's not been taken seriously since the 90's and even then it was on the way out.

No I know that, but he claimed that it was never a thing .

claims

As in presently

She said "is" a thing not "was never" a thing

but also If u believe it rope too. Anyone who gives a shit either way is a mayo so noshit

Lol as if our opinions on the matter are changing anything

>The world is burning

>"Welp, off to convince the fine denizens of /r/smuggies to the cause. Surely that's where I'll find good faith interlocutors."

Whatever the truth is, I'm sure it requires 900 trazillion dollars to be invested in this little company over here dont ask questions

Yeah we should prolly just keep burying our head in the sand, feel free to make use of the sand near the coastline

Giving them even more money is worse, it smokes when they set it on fire that's not carbon neutral

Reddit being so confident is climate change leads me too thinking that it’s a load of bull shit

Reddit is confident you need to breathe to live, so you should probably reject that too

You can bet your ass if trump came out as pro air then reddit would instantly hate it.

if trump came out as pro air

you just set a whole new standard for "retarded shit DDF says"

Except the third article never says anything bad about Trump. It literally point outs how paid leave could lead to biased hiring, and extra steps could be taken to combat this.

You retarded or what? The point is that the two articles seemingly change their stance a few days appart just to oppose trump.

First article: Everyone should have family leave.

Trump's budget includes family leave

Third article: Family leave is bad.

They started thinking family leave is bad only after trump supported it.

You're talking about articles written by the media, 90% of which are beyond retarded. How can you honestly think you can plant your flag on such a pile of shit?

Because the media represents it's readers.

Media represents the producers. You might honestly be dumb.

I'm honestly in awe about how far you're willing to go to defend something that keeps getting proven time and time again.

If you unironically think the left doesen't just try to oppose trump at every turn then I feel sorry for the people who had to endure raising you.

You are trapped in such a small frame, you can't even comprehend someone at my level lmao

Were you born like this or did you become like this after the accident?

Which accident?

That actually makes a lot of sense.

Not even nature would make a mistake this big.

Hey, when you want to find some grounding again, I'm here to slap your around.

At your pleasure

INFOWARSDOTCOM

They started thinking family leave is bad

You didn't read the article.

You're a moron.

Cope of the illiteratecel.

You retarded or what?

No that's you.

The point is that the two articles seemingly change their stance a few days appart just to oppose trump.

You're picture doesn't show that retard. It's a bury mess that only shows 3 different headlines.

Third article: Family leave is bad.

No, the third article pointed out that without extra steps taken paid leave could lead to people with families not getting hired as much so employers can avoid paying for leave. It just has a clickbair headline in an attempt to get retards like you to actually read it

No that's you.

"no u" peak leftism

You're picture doesn't show that retard. It's a bury mess that only shows 3 different headlines.

It also shows archive links and dates.

Or are you too stupid to understand that "May 22, 2017" is a date?

No, the third article pointed out that without extra steps taken paid leave could lead to people with families not getting hired as much so employers can avoid paying for leave. It just has a clickbair headline in an attempt to get retards like you to actually read it

Ah, so it was a complete coincidence that they released a "paid leave bad" article directly after trump supported it, when beforehand they were advocating for paid leave?

ok

It also shows archive links and dates.

also shows archive links

shows links

Exactly retard. No one is doing to fuck around with actually entering those links. If you weren't a mayo you'd have post the actual fucking links

Ah, so it was a complete coincidence that they released a "paid leave bad" article directly after trump supported it

How do you not forget to breath? They never called it bad. They pointed out Trumps plan was poorly thought out, like everything else he does

Exactly retard. No one is doing to fuck around with actually entering those links.

You don't have you you fucking retard, that's why it also has the titles. So you can read them.

How do you not forget to breath? They never called it bad. They pointed out Trumps plan was poorly thought out, like everything else he does.

It's almost like they litterally oppose everything he does? Hm... Really makes you think.

lol shut up faggot. take your .pngs elsewhere.

Oh no, different opinions on the same news site! How terrible!

Different options that seem to to change the instant trump agrees with one of them.

Curious that.

Well the one that was pro-PFL was written by:

the executive director of the Washington Center for Equitable Growth

&

the executive director of Paid Leave for the US

While the anti-PFL was written by:

a policy analyst at the Cato Institute

Did you expect them to have the same opinion or something?

I expected the timing between the 3 articles to be less coincidental.

Imagine looking this hard for a conspiracy. You're legitimately upset at CNN for publishing a conservative op-ed 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Publishing a conservative op-ed directly after trump took a liberal stance.

Almost like they just want to be contrarians or something.

Is that what Q told you? 🤣🤣🤣

Imagine unironically thinking the only two ideologies on the planet are sjw and qtard

No, that would be retarded. You believe in the same loony tunes conspiracies tho, so it was a fair assumption.

Imagine unironically thinking that the left being contrarians to trump is a conspiracy.

The CATO Institute is "the left"?

It's a real mystery what the left means. Takes a real big brain to figure that one out.

Conservatards always complain that the mainstream media doesn't give conservatives a voice but whenever they do publish something more right wing they start screeching about ideological inconsistency 😂😂😂

Were you not fucking born when Trump fired those 50 missiles? .

Oh right, thanks for reminding me!

Now that trump is anti war the left suddently became pro war.

Trump wants to pull out troops, while the dems want perpetual war.

unironically saying "dems"

Trump was anti-war during his campaign. He said he would back off from Syria.

That was a huge fucking lie. He basically handed the command to some other guy and later fired the missiles.

According to you, "the left" would hate this. They did not, they thought Trump did what was right.

Trump supported the Kurds. Again, the left was in full support of this. In fact there are a number of American antifa faggots who literally went to Syria to fight with the Kurds.

2 years later the war is settled and US pulls their troops. This isn't really an anti-interventionist approach though, because he didn't pull the troops until USA/UK/France effectively lost against Syria and Russia. "Teh liberal media" didn't like this as much, but the outcry wasn't as large as it usually is.

MAGAcels are brainlets. Go back to your daddy safespace.

According to you, "the left" would hate this. They did not, they thought Trump did what was right.

Except now he is trying to pull of syria and and the left is pissed at him for wanting to remove america's involvement.

MAGAcels are brainlets. Go back to your daddy safespace.

cope harder pls

Proving my point from the other comment chain; you're an illiteratecel who didn't even read my comment lmao.

Were you born like this or did you become like this after the accident?

Massive cope

Gotcha, accident.

Because not even nature would make a mistake this big.

Nature didn't make us, it was God.

imagine being this fucking retarded.

I bet you serious post about net neutrality

imagine being this fucking retarded.

most libs think the earth is round, that seems suspicious...

Reddit is also confident about gravity so why don't you go find a tall building to prove them wrong

Reddit is wrong about a lot of things, yet you chose the one thing they're right about.

Woah we got a big brain over here!

I'm a bot, bleep, bloop. Someone has linked to this thread from another place on reddit:

If you follow any of the above links, please respect the rules of reddit and don't vote in the other threads. (Info / Contact)

Oh boy that sub is terrible

It’s actually pretty funny sometimes, the user base is trash tho

You've just described every community on the internet.

I just tune out when people argue about Global Warming/Climate Change.

It usually boils down to "today's warmest so-and-so day in the past decade! Checkmate deniers" or "today's coldest so-and-so day in the past decade! Checkmate Global Warming/Climate Change!"

It's all so tiring. We should just go kill more natives to keep the world cool.

Tbh both are fucking retarded. You'd have to be stupid to think humans are having no impact on the planet, and even stupider to think your shitty rant into the echo chambers of reddit will get a single person to change their ways. Speaking of ranting....

I find that those loudest about needing to take action against global warming are almost always complete hypocrites. No amount of virtue signaling will make up for them getting a new phone every 1-2 years, nor the soybased foods they consume (growing soya is absolutely awful for the land), nor the "organic" clusterfuck (which studies have shown is a lot worse for the environment than traditional methods, due to excess water, excess waste and lower yields)

In short, pluck the beam out of your eye before reaching for the splinter in the eye of another. Come, longpost bot, I've rambled all I've wanted to.

I find that those loudest... are almost always complete hypocrites.

FTFY.

People like to harp on virtues, only quietly letting it go when it does not convenient them.

the "organic" clusterfuck (which studies have shown is a lot worse for the environment than traditional methods, due to excess water, excess waste and lower yields)

That so? So the benefit of not using whatever GMO/"bad" fertilizer does not necessarily outweigh the extra hoops we have to jump through?

If you live in a western country, your fertiliser is already safe. Different firms use different methods to be deemed "organic," including using the same pesticide as normal produce, just in smaller quantities

While the value of organic can be debated, and I'm no authority on the matter, I hope it's understandable that fewer pesticides = more fruit lost to insects/ disease = less efficient food production

Huh. Never thought about those.

nor the soybased foods they consume (growing soya is absolutely awful for the land)

I am pretty sure eating meat is the least efficient thing, since animals are fed a ton of crops that we could eat directly (probably not the same crops but use the land to grow something we can eat directly), instead of eating the crops indirectly and inefficiently via meat.

Don't get me wrong I fucking love meat but environmentally it sucks.

Agreed with lack of personal responsibility.

But eating the crops efficiently won't lead to less crops consumed as historical trends have shown that increasing food supply always leads to a ballooning population. Growing crops on pasture land can also lead to absolutely horrifying environmental consequences, as seen with China's now-disowned efforts to turn the fields of Inner Mongolia into farmland.

A day after it was -5 here it was 45 degrees. What does that mean?

Means it was 50 degrees warmer.

big if true

One time there was +5 and -20. The whole fucking outside was like a large skating ring.

Once in my house it was 4 then 20 - Seth Rogen

Well my basement is about to become a swimming pool, so kind of the same.

It means you live in the shithole midwest

It was kind of weird going outside yesterday.

When it’s hot outside, or there’s a hurricane or a fire, leftoids blame global warming

Literally no difference.

Both arguments are retarded

Well... climate change doesn't cause more hurricanes but it does cause more serious hurricanes. https://www.c2es.org/content/hurricanes-and-climate-change/

As for the the fires, climate change is linked to forest fires. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/heres-what-we-know-about-wildfires-and-climate-change/

Plants take in carbon dioxide, which they need to survive, through tiny pores in their leaves called stomates. But they also lose water through these same pores every time they open—and the higher the ambient temperature, the more water they lose. Warmer weather can also cause more water to evaporate from dead plants littering the ground. “A warmer world will have drier fuels,” said Mike Flannigan, director of the Western Partnership for Wildland Fire Science at the University of Alberta in Canada. “Drier fuels will mean it’s easier for fires to start and spread.”

Both arguments are not the same, one side is based on data and science. The other is based on feelings. Like Benny boy says, facts don't care about your feelings.

autistic high effort seriouspost to own the cons epic style in r/drama

White people were a mistake

Mayocide now

stop serious posting you retard

Sorry I get triggered by Climate Change deniers

Hahahahahahahaha How The Fuck Is Climate Change Real Hahahaha Nigga Just Walk Away From The Coast Like Nigga Move Inland Haha

But muh beach front property

When it’s hot outside, or there’s a hurricane or a fire, leftoids blame global warming

This nearly made me serious post

Man why is such a nice strawman meme concept completely overrun with nazi retards? fuck /r/sbubby
