People fight in classrooms literally every day. You act like schools are some sacred places where violence doesn’t exist. Naive.

Just giving harsher and harsher sentences to minors doesn’t deter others or significantly reduce recidivism on the part of the perpetrator. Minors don’t beat their teachers down for no reason. There’s a life history that led up to that point. Criminal justice is about retribution and more importantly rehabilitation. If a society makes it only about retribution they’re MORE likely to just have a perpetuation of this kind of violence.
