Reddit Adminitards create an entire subreddit you cant post in, to battle r/drama's, T_D's, and Valadimir Putin's brigading and vote manipulation.

You're oversimplifying a complex situation to the point of adding nothing to the discussion.

I am a bot. (Info / Contact)

That's the nicest thing you ever said.

Don’t put us next TD thank you.

Ill put SRD next time.

At least they're smug retarded not literally retarded

They're just pretending.

They're unironically retarded and smug. Being one IQ point ahead of the fucktard next to you doesn't erase the fact that you're a fucktard

Why not compromise with S_TD? The type to get offended can pick their poison.

so can i just report every post from TMOR and the litany of other leftist brigades and watch the admins do nothing? lol

If linking a post is brigade than every sub is brigading

Linking a post is brigading, but it isn’t. You don’t have to use np but you cannot comment or participate in a linked thread unless some other bullshit. Also if you cross post and put a link in the original post you are brigading.

That is my understanding, the policy is clear as mud.

Imagine being an /r/drama poster and whining about brigading.

Here's the thing, they keep talking about foreign political influence. When are they going to do something about the millions of Canadians posting about American domestic politics? They should at least introduce flags so we know when they should be dismissed.

They should copy 4chan's flag system so that you can tell which country the user is from

Imagine the fallout when there's zero russian flags on pro-Daddy posts

Wrong. Everyone loves daddy round the world.

Obviously the Russian government pays for a vpn membership for every patriotic citizen.

wtf why do I have to pay for mine then

everyone would just use meme flags anyways

Everyone would just bully the Canadians

And then we bully the natives. As is tradition.

Wouldn’t this place turn into /int/ lite?

Reddit's fundamental mechanics are different enough from 4chans that the two could never look that similar. And since they're only worried about political influence they would only implement it on the major political subs.

more like /pol/

Leafposting was a mistake.

They should at least introduce flags so we know when they should be dismissed.

I think they're worried about the amount of Israeli flags that would pop up.

TFW most of the JIDF is American.

Fine also ban anyone suspected of being Canadian.

what the fuck is a VPN

Like reddit NEETs can pay for a VPN

🤔

Or all the yuropoors.

we also implemented a Reliable Reporter system, and we continue to expand that program’s scope. This includes working very closely with users who investigate suspicious behavior on a volunteer basis, and playing a more active role in communities that are focused on surfacing malicious accounts.

Hey look, they officially sanctioned the Boston Bomb Reddit Detectives.

I'm excited.

If the admins engage with the "investigators" regularly, it might not become a shitshow. But this smells like the antispam subreddit that got canned.

You seem to trust the admins a lot more than I do.

I wouldn't say that.

Hey. This is the only sub reddit I can comment on. If try to leave a comment or reply anywhere else the keyboard doesn't show

They fucked up the official app again lol

If the admins engage with the "investigators" regularly, it might not become a shitshow.

lol the admins are still random assholes just like redditors, they're not investigators or police or detectives or whatever. it'll just be an officially sanctioned shitshow.

I wonder why he put investigator in quotes.

bcuz ur mum

users who investigate suspicious behavior on a volunteer basis

You know who become the best volunteers? Paid trolls.

we have a team focused on the detection and investigation of content manipulation on Reddit. Content manipulation can take many forms, from traditional spam and upvote manipulation to more advanced, and harder to detect, foreign influence campaigns

lol GB

He thinks that the linked post means the end of /r/drama. He's truly a moron.

Russian meme posters on suicide watch.

🙉🔫

Pretty sure they once reset my password because of something like this. They told users that their profiles were gone unless they had an email address on their Reddit profile. So I personally could reset the password. They will do this more often now I think and have 100% of users uaw email. Probably did it to me because I have a Russian name.

But yeah, could be something else.

Yea I lost a 2008 account because of this. The saddest part is I can't erase my post history from that account :(

We need to mod Daddy Putin

https://old.reddit.com/r/redditsecurity/comments/aqzeq7/introducing_rredditsecurity/egjpay9/

WHY ISNT /r/NIGGERHATE BANNED YET? THAT MEANS YOU APPROVE OF IT

maybe because it is quarantined and literally doesnt have a full page of content.

It really says something about Reddit admins' competence that they never thought of just quarantining every sub with "nigger" in its name by default.

ya but what if i wanted to make a fun sub called /r/sniggered?

I'm surprised there isn't an r/enough_nigger_spam

Lol of course its a power mod. Wouldn't be surprised for a second if it was another Belle situation, where one of them set it up. Since it had like 10 subscribers when one of them "Found it" before it got quarantined. So you could still see the subscriber count. And 4 posts, 3 of which by the same guy, 4th probably his alt given the username.

This is like that fucking Youtube Heroes shitshow from a few years ago, the onky difference being plebbitors are so lacking in self awareness that they can't possibly fathom how this system can and will be gamed by the userbase. This is peak mayo shit if I've ever seen it.

Last year, we also implemented a Reliable Reporter system, and we continue to expand that program’s scope. This includes working very closely with users who investigate suspicious behavior on a volunteer basis, and playing a more active role in communities that are focused on surfacing malicious accounts.

no way that this won't attract a certain type of person

it's not quite the same as being a powermod but you still get the smug satisfaction of being able to silence people you don't like.
