Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, and Warren Buffett aren't the richest people on the planet because they spend less than they make. I am sick and tired of these self help get rich gurus peddling the same flawed logic:

A man who makes $50k a year and spends $40k is wealthier than a man who makes $1 million a year and spends $1.2 million.

No you dumbasses the man who makes $1 million a year is living life at large and leveraging his salary to borrow and make more money in the future. But go ahead and keep telling yourself that because you're technically net positive of $10k you're richer than the dude who has a net worth in the millions and the banks trust him enough to let him borrow $200k more than he makes.

And also, even according to your shitty logic, the wealthiest man in the room would be the man who makes $1 million a year and spends $40k, so fuck you twice!
