I've been lurking on reddit for awhile now without an account but thought I would make one to chime in on this. Based on this guy's history and the fact that this guy says he's from Sioux Center, I think I know who this guy is. I'm not going to reveal his personal information, but if he is who I think he is, I went to school with the guy.
He was a huge jerk in high school, he was always like a D student or so and he was super disruptive in class the whole time always looking for attention, no matter how negative. He would just say stupid things in class, and unfortunately, they did often times get laughs either because people didn't think he was serious or because his friends were just as stupid as him. He always swore that he would make it big as a football star but that was of course never the case. Always bragged about how he clobbered, as he put it, "black chimps" on the other schools' football teams and generally harassed any nonwhite kids at the school (to be fair, there weren't very many). He always bullied and taunted kids that did well in school out of what seemed like obvious insecurity at the time. He did it to me a couple times to, but I ignored him. It did hurt me at the time but even then, I knew he was an idiot.
There was generally sort of an anti-intellectual culture in the town, very few people from my school made it to big name schools (other than University of Iowa or Iowa State). I was fortunate enough to make it to Brown where thankfully I wasn't in that sort of environment anymore.
Another reason I believe this guy is the one I am thinking of, is because I saw he posted some pictures on Facebook of this trip he went on to Honduras. Despite him describing it as a mission trip (which it might have been), most pictures he posted just seem to be of him partying down there and getting fucked up. I was honestly pretty shocked that he even decided to go down there just because of how racist he was in high school (and evidently, still is). I find it amusing that he has some homoerotic comments on here, such as:

Listen, I'm fine with Latino immigrants. They are honorary whites because they share our conservative values and European ancestry through Spain. They also follow traditional gender roles and don't tolerate the gays. The women are subservient and feminine and therefore are great wife material.
