it's more just the fact of history, than me personally. Massive amounts of immigration took place in the first half of the 20th century, after the point that slavery was outlawed, which is honestly a great thing considering how much death happened during the Civil War, those bodies needed to be replaced. I dunno if actual statistics exist but it'd be interesting to see what percentage of people in the US can actually claim to have lineage to people during that time.
