A cycling race is marred by poor planning. Ignorant gussies get angry

A cycling event screwed up by having it woman's start time too close to the men's. Some woman broke away from the pack early and was forced to stop when she started bumping into the support cars for the men's race.

Gussies from all over read the headline about how she was forced to stop, and cuz they're dumb, thought she was forced to stop for being better than the men.

If you don't know nothing about cycling, you should know that this woman had no chance of actually winning the race. The general strategy is to stay in the pack of riders in order to lower wind resistance, and then break free near the end.

Generally the only reason someone would break away early like that is to get the commentators to talk about them and their sponsors for a while before the real competitors catch up.

Are you genuinely mentally challenged? Please use whatever little brain cells you have left after your glue huffing addiction to think a little bit before posting something as stupid as this again. Thanks and have a nice evening. src

TL;DR: A bunch of people who have no clue about cycling discuss cycling.

The only source I need on this is GC, I trust they will have a very rational and factual take on this.

And she finished 74 and then made a post on Instagram about how men were slow and ruined her race. Something tells me this is exactly what she wanted and that in a regular race this wouldn't happen. In cycling you win by sprinting at the end. At the start you try to find wind cover because you need to expect quite a bit more energy if you just lead the way all the time.

Basically she trolled the whole race planning team while in reality they didn't do much wrong. Next time they will have have to start the women race half an hour after the men. Which just will make the whole day even longer for them.

Its always fun watching people that know nothing about the sport try to act like they do

Don't forget Redditors' propensity to insert every bit of irrelevant knowledge they have into every discussion. Some tard was talking about how lactic acid build up due to stopping probably robbed her of a win.
