Inelastic demand. If you need your insulin, you need it regardless of if you can afford it. A type 1 diabetic can't just choose to forgo it. Flooding the market would do nothing for them.

It's not the same product. While Walmart insulin (R and N) is a good option for people with no choice, it is very challenging to use, requires a lifestyle shift that most people can't adhere to, and leads to worse results in blood sugar control. Obviously it's better than the alternative (painful death by DKA), but it's unfair to suggest diabetics are complaining about prices and not "shopping around".
