Why are reddit kids so obsessed with being communists? Is it because they're too young to actually remember the Warsaw Pact? I guess so. It's good entertainment, though.
A lot of the kids on Reddit are the type of kids that get bullied often/have an edge streak so a website that is pretty pro-left and full of edgelords appeals to them.
Because they have a child’s level understanding of economics and think that everything would be free if it weren’t for those fat cat capitalists charging money for things.
Because they genuinely believe the US has meddled with very successful communist nations to make them look bad, without ignoring that, in general, they traded one dictator for a friendlier one.
Because they are convinced it can work "if everyone just bands together and holds hands and believes", and they get mad when you tell then "lol people need something to motivate them, like MONEY".
